I see he's being linked with a return to Arsenal in January.

Would you have him at Liverpool? Bearing in mind our problems in the midfield in terms of keeping the ball and having someone to slow the game down, i think Song could be the ideal player to give us that.
Not saying i'm mad keen on him but he's certainly a player we should consider imo.

He's struggled at Barca, but he was an excellent excellent player at Arsenal.

Yes, I've recommended him before. Not seen much of him at Barca - who has? - but I saw enough at Arsenal to know he's a very good DM.

He was good at Arsenal cos he was the only one who could go and win the ball back and add some midfield steel. It's kinda what a fairly average player like Flamini is looking like a fucking superstar for them right now.

He's less needed at Barca because they rarely need to actually go and win the ball back, plus there are better players than him to choose from.

He'd be decent back up for us, but he'd cost a lot and his wages are probably higher. Lucas is better on the ball than him too.

If we're going to get a midfielder, then adding another 'not bad' one wouldn't really rock my world.

His last season at arsenal he was anything but a dm. Played quite far forward if I remember correctly, and he got well over 10 assists. Has played centre back as often as dm with barca as busquets just knows the barca system much better than him. If we were to be interested in him I would imagine it would be the end of joe Allen as opposed to Lucas
