Liverpool ready to send Andre Wisdom out on loan with Fulham and Wigan keen
6 Jul 2013 23:00

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to send England Under-21 starlet Andre Wisdom out on loan – with Owen Coyle’s Wigan heading the race, writes Alan Nixon of the Sunday People.

Rodgers wants highly-rated Wisdom to play every week so he is ready for a quick recall if needed.
The Latics, who also have the attraction of European football to offer next season, are favourites to land the young Yorkshireman and play him at centre-half.

Fulham have also asked about Wisdom, who played for Liverpool last season and impressed at right-back, but Rodgers wants him to go to a Championship side.
The 20-year-old has made 19 starts for Liverpool since his debut in 2010.

Good move. But don't understand why the premiership isn't an option.

Same, I think he's good enough to be getting games in the premier league. Surely a promoted side would love to have him.

Its probably better than bench warming or reserve football

An adventurous Championship team that tries to play football is probably better for his development than at a PL team playing it as safe as possible. We want him to develop in the right way. Even better if he plays at CB.

Funny thing is if he plays RB, the Mid/Winger who plays on the right will probably be much more useful than Downing.

Yes, he's a CB.
He looks kinda short on TV, had a look on wiki and just found out that he's 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in).

Toure's deal makes some sense if this is the plan with Wisdom.

Hopefully with a good season under his belt in the Championship he'll come back and be ready to figure at CB for us next season, while we have Toure for cover if anything goes wrong.

Watford would be a decent loan move. He needs a team that will play football and be in control of many matches, rather than some struggling side that's hoofing the ball out of touch all the time, and Zola would encourage the better instincts to emerge.
