Andre Wisdom

Wisdom is a far better defender than Can at right back but somewhat limited going forward. If it will make us more solid at the back then it's worth giving him a chance especially seeing as it's not costing us a transfer fee.

I thought he was pretty dire at right back, positionally woeful at times, but he is pretty gifted, good in the air and he has passion that will go a long way.

Problem is.... if he was driving us forward.... We'd probably get lost.

He surely can't be any worse than Can has been at right back recently. Positionally he did struggle when he was last with us but he's had a full season in a West Brom defence that conceded only 3 goals more than us this season. They improved dramatically when Pulis took over, especially in defence.

He was dropped when Pulis got in though.

When I used to watch the reserves regularly I was always impressed by Wisdom, but that was always as a centre back and I haven't been convinced with him at full back. In saying that, he could yet have a Flanagan-style improvement and I hope he does.

I'm not sure about this. WBA's turnaround came with Pulis coming in and one of his first things to do was bench Wisdom. I'm unconvinced by him.
