Agree the that. Hopefully, any challenge is short-lived. The good news is that other than Ekitike, all the other recruits will have good existing players that can allow them to bed in, if needed. Thinking more of Kerkez and Frim. Wirst seems like he can slot in immediately, but we still have Szobo to play the 10 exactly as he did last year and that was not bad.Strengthening from a position where we're already strong is what the best teams do, but signing this large a number of players all at the same time is going to be quite a test for the manager, the coaches and the squad. I am NOT complaining, but might it cause us one or two issues?

I'd like to see our new sidebacks starting really. It's surely easier to integrate into those positions than central players. Kerkez in particular feels like he's ready-made for that position in our team.I agree to an extent, but it’s also entirely possible, even if we go ahead and sign Isak, Rodrygo and Guehi, that only Wirtz & Usak start, with Robbo, Bradley & Gakpo also starting.
This gives Kerkez, Frimpong, Guehi, Rodrygo and Ekitike (if we signed them all) time to integrate and you’re looking at a bunch of player who, in theory are “fresher” for the business end of the season.
It’s not dissimilar to when we signed Robbo, Fabinho, Konate and arguably Jota.
I agree if we go with 5 or 6 changes to the starting XI straight away, that’s asking a lot.

Nah. these aren't £6m players needing to integrate having arrived from Hull or Portsmouth. They are experienced PL or BL players that have played at very high levels already.I agree, but we don’t need to rush it / as I mentioned, we afforded Robbo time to settle in and he went from being an unheard of LB playing for a shit team that got relegated to one of the finest LB’s we’ve seen.
Gravy took his time to settle, etc, etc
I just feel like we don’t need to push and force the issue - we’re signing young players to play for us for the next 5-10 years.
Get the team firing and slowly integrate them.
In saying that, it’ll depend on who’s looking sharp in preseason.
I think you'll find he was one of the best DMs in the PL last year. He was voted Chelsea's best player of the season by both players and fans - not Palmer !And just to pile on the Fark's neg vibes. Caicedo. We were told he was the panacea and was worth a record transfer fee. He's average at best. Thank fuck he chose the rent an arse sanctioned clarksons of the south, otherwise we wouldn't be buying anyone this summer. But like Napoleon, I do love a lucky general.
who deserves like 5 red cards every seasonCaicedo is modern mascherano. A dirty cunt but some mad skills. Never over 100ms, but he's a very good dm
Exactly. Modern mascherwho deserves like 5 red cards every season
I watched him closely during the last World Cup and subsequently for Brighton after we were linked with him. He never impressed too much and I figured he was worth about £30m.He's fucking shite.
When you've come out of a football match and you didn't notice someone was on the pitch and then someone has to tell you why they were important and then tells you it's often the players that you don't notice who are doing all the hard work, that player is fucking shite and the person talking to you subscribes to the athletic and listens to the Anfield Wrap.
I think Masher and Calceido were/are both better than Gravy at breaking up play, but I also think that our current midfield works more collaboratively in this aspect. Macca and Szobo are also excellent in this regard, with the same expected from Wirtz.Gravy is better than both of them glued together
Gravy is better than both of them glued together
I would not swap Gravvy for anyone, invluding Caicedo, to be sure. If the whole team presses and works hard, you don’t need a dedicated DM IMHO.Gravy is better than both of them glued together
I felt like this - I mean going into that season a couple of years back a CB light was criminal.Spending a shit ton all in one window, including two strikers at a historically bad time to buy might be the best choice in the circumstances, but it doesn't constitute vindication for me.
Spending less than this, a little more regularly, would have seen us have more sustained success, and we wouldn't be needing to do this now.
It also reeks of them ignoring managing something, then becoming very interested again all at once once they've got their own men back in.
There's also far more risk doing it this way.

Bit then we bought club record Nunez three years ago with Klopp and Lijnders sidelining the data guys and it didn't work, so I can understand the cheque book going away, especially having random, part time DoFs.
