The attacking midfielder from Gala who can also play on the left has today revealed that Liverpool are one of his favourite destinations in Europe.

He had a storming European Championship and is hailed as the biggest rising star in Turkey these days. Anyways here's a snippet from FIFA.com:

Mr Turan, are you Turkish football's latest superstar?
Arda Turan: I'm not a star, just a good footballer and, most importantly, I'm a team player. I always give 100 per cent and I'm constantly trying to improve my game.

Do you want to stay in Turkey or would you like to play abroad one day?
I'm definitely planning on playing in one of Europe's top leagues at some point. It would be a great chance for me to represent my country and further my career.

Are there any teams in particular who you would like to play for?
Liverpool or Juventus would be great.

Anyone seen him play on a regular basis besides during the EC last Summer?

I haven't seen him regularly but have been very impressed each time I've seen him. What I particulalry like is, a bit like Tuncay, he works hard for the team which is not always the case with skillful footballers cf Robinho.

The 'teamplayer'-bit was something that stood out for me as well.

We all know Rafa likes that as well.

I want to play for Liverpool. Probably more chance of that happening than this kid getting a chance to.

Do you hold a Spanish passport?

Is the guy Oncy was bigging up a while back?

Could be. He was very good during the Euro's but I don't know that much about him as I've not watched him play since.

He's a strong little, hardworking player with good skills on the ball. At least that's how I remember him. A bit like an attacking-minded Fabregas maybe?

Arda Turan and Harry Kewell are Gala's stars for the season. They have had a really strong season. I like Arda Turan.

Nothing worse than a player or his agent trying to whore himself out.

Thats a consequence not something worse..

I didn't realise he was only 22, he played at Anfied when he was younger

here's a compilation. wonder if he can step it up, he might struggle initially but would be worth a gamble at the right sort of price.

Hahaha, I read the thread title & immediately thought, I'm gonna say "I want to play for Liverpool too, it's about as likely".

Diao and Diouf were signed prior to the tournament, not sure about Babb.
[/quote]

Are you sure? I thought Ged wanted Diao first and had an agreement with him but was equally impressed with Diouf's performance especially against France.

Nice compilation. Never really seen him play properly, but I liked the fact that he seems to be able to get past players when closely marked.

I dunno about anyone else, but this thread makes me miss Idiot

Idiot was fantastic. Equally as good when he was fastestfeet too.

Diouf was signed straight after the France game in the wc but the deal was sorted before that. Diao and Babb were both signed on the back of great tournaments.

He's way too predictable in his dribbling, don't think he's crossed with his left once in the clip..

He's not electric either.

I don't want him.
