Seriously?

I'm like a flippin' 10 year old again, feeling the excitement grow with each passing day, with everything that I do this week simply being something that I have to get past, to get me one step closer to Sunday, and winning the league again.

Nothing (other than the girls) matters this week except Sunday, and allowing myself to enjoy the build-up and then lose myself in the actual moment. I'm almost 53 years old. I've been through some 'real-life' shite recently. It wasn't fun. It's not over yet. And this is only football. It shouldn't still matter this much.

But it still does. And, right now, I'm sooooooo fucking happy that it does.

Enjoy it, folks - These are the times that we endure the tough days for...

Love (mist of) yiz. YNWA.

I have all my brothers and sisters coming round Sunday afternoon for a get together that was arranged before the significance of the date was obvious.
Myself and my lad had said ages ago we would go for pints and watch the title clinching game together so that unfortunately won't be happening now.
At least my bros are Liverpool fans as well so I will get to hopefully celebrate together with them.
My poor sisters are going to have to watch the footy?

I was almost nervous at 2-2 last night thinking 'shit I'm not ready for it' and I had a super intense work day ahead today.

Now for Sunday I'm buzzing..it's kingsday here on Saturday so everyone including me will already be dead on Sunday. Gonna meet up with the few Liverpool fans I know here in an Irish bar and hope we don't spurs it up

Not any moreso than the last 3 months truth be told, I've known the title was 99% done after beating Brentford, the same weekend Arsenal bottled to Villa. It's not like it's been much of a title race has it?

Roll on the parade, followed by what'll hopefully be an exciting summer.

Truthfully I have mixed feelings. Our tremendous lead has made it very difficult for me to retain my relentless pessimism.

It's opened me up to new and different sensations that, if I'm being completely honest, make me a bit uncomfortable.

...

No, but seriously, am very thrilled. Sad that I'll be nearly 3000km from my mates back in Winnipeg and will be watching on my own. I'll be back home for the Arsenal match and had hoped that they'd somehow cling on until then but it looks like that's not to be.

I'll enjoy this one quietly on my own Sunday afternoon and savour it slowly.

Sometimes in the midst of shite is when football matters the most. Enjoy!

Yeah it was exciting up to a month or so ago but once the jeopardy disappeared, along with Arsenal, I've not had the same excitement levels.

This week I've been in Furong and Fenghuang for a week, photographing, with the wife and it's been brilliant, as traveling in China usually is. They are amazing places. So any /all stress has dissipated and disappeared over the horizon.

Nice overviews if you want to kill 5 mins or plan to visit :

Back in Shanghai tomorrow ready for the weekend and THE game. That brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.

We were due to be back in the UK in May, in time for the parade and I would have been up there! But my wife has clients that changed their plans and are visiting in late May instead of this month, so we won't be back until early June now. Bugger!

It was a weird feeling being nervous that Palace would score the 3-2 goal late on and rob us of the chance to win it at Anfield, but at the same time you want Arsenal to lose. Really weird.
I don't think it has really sunk in yet and Sunday will be very emotional if we get it over the line.
Watching it with my daughter who has turned into a massive red and a Virgil fan. At least I've done something right.
Love it.

If I'm honest I'm not excited at all because I've basically known it was won for about 2 months, so it's been a long gradual period of adjustment. Glad for everyone who is giddy though! And finally get to have that parade 5 years late.

It must be brilliant to win it after a tight race, but that's the last thing I wanted this time.

Jeez, lads... We win the league on Sunday. Get happier, FFS! 😉

The fact that we've (well, some of us) have known this was coming for a while now shouldn't diminish from the build up to seeing it actually confirmed and celebrated at Anfield. I'd give my right nut to be there (particularly as I barely us either of them anymore).

These don't come around often enough to not soak up every single second of it.

I’ve loved every minute of this ease to the title. That’s why I think it’s fitting to have a bottle of red to savour the moment.

Had it been edge of our seats and won it last game I’d be all up for going out and getting ruined.

Surely to celebrate a Liverpool title you should be drinking a sparkling red.
Now if there was only such a thing,
@StevieM

I'm loving it...so much so that I'm thinking of making my first trip to Liverpool just for the parade (no chance of getting into Anfield what with the prices and availability of tickets).

Just had a look at flights and they seem to be ok however accommodation is scarce and fucking expensive too, especially with the exchange rate being at the highest level ever

Loving it. Have a very hectic week and most likely will work on Saturday. But on Sunday, will enjoy it with my parents, wife and young one. First PL win for the kiddo.

Under FSG and Edwards, this is now the fifth title challenge. I remember the Wenger. Ferguson, Mourino title run ins and always used to think during those times that this is beyond us. CL, Rafa gave us that confidence back but PL was something I felt we could not aspire to. The second title win I have the privilege of seeing. Cannot believe it. Unable to process it. Eternally grateful to Klopp and Slot for this moment.

And if we win it this Sunday, then Caicedo, Lavia, Sterling will all have to give us a guard of honor.

...no. I'm trying anyway.

My dad said a while ago that he'd made a deal with God, and that he'd be alive the next time Liverpool won the league.

He will be.

He's not making the next time though, even in a best case scenario on all fronts.

I was going to come to the parade. The last one my dad and I were going to go to, I got it all booked, and we all know what happened. This time I had it arranged to go with my kid, but now I need to go earlier and be with my dad instead, help my mum out.

Hes been telling all these stories I should have asked him about years ago. I think the game that made him a red was with his uncle Huey during the war. 1944 or 45 and he was sitting on industrial latex that the war effort had stored under the stadium roof to keep dry. 5-0 win against the mighty Southport. Liddell bagged a brace, and the adulation is still there when he says that name.

Why would a god owe him a league anyway? It's pure greed. He saw what for most of my life seemed something I'd never see. A Liverpool that the footballing world was envious of. Went home and away from 2nd division right the way up to the stratosphere.

No wonder his heart is fucked. Still, uncle Huey could have been a blue, and now my dad has another title. A deal is a deal. The Lord giveth and he taketh away.

Ya I’m not excited as it’s been in the bag for ages and I can’t be in the city for it.

Can’t wait to see the parade and trophy lift.

Yes, because unlike a lot of you, my PTSD was so strong I refused to believe we had won it up until the past couple of weeks. Can’t wait until Sunday. Get it done at home, let the celebrations commence, let’s see those guards of honour, and for the love of Pete, let’s get Chiesa one more appearance in the League!!!

Yeah I'd say I'm happy about it more than excited. It's been obvious for ages that we'd win the thing so it's more gonna be about seeing the players buzzing and getting vicarious thrills from people seeing their second title served up in real time. I'm already thinking more about next season than this one.

It will be good to see an almost entirely new crop of league winners. Good for recruitment too. Am I right they it’s only Salah, Virgil, Ali, Trent and Gomez getting their second league title with us?
