That United game did it for me. Everyone from my mates, to people in the boozers, to people in ground thought we just had to show up Sunday and we'd turn the Mancs over.
A lot of pundits and the bookies etc had us as favourites as well to be fair but generally speaking, you'd think us as Liverpool fans would know better than to count our chickens so to speak. Hate to mention this, but it was the same before that infamous Chelsea game last season. People getting too carried away.
We've often come unstuck when we've been favourites before games before - Carling Cup Final 2012 against Cardiff, FA Cup 2006 against West Ham to name but two other examples of note.
