Liverpool FC's summer clear out will include the departures of Oussama Assaidi and Dani Pacheco.
Neither player is in Brendan Rodgers’ plans for next season and both are available for transfer.
Danny Wilson’s Liverpool career is also over with the defender’s contract expiring next month.
The Scotland international is expected to secure a permanent move to Hearts, where he spent the second half of this season on loan.
The Reds are confident that Andy Carroll’s heel injury won’t jeopardise their plans to sell the club’s record signing.
A £15million fee has been agreed with West Ham who haven’t been put off by the news that he will be sidelined for at least three months.
Carroll, who is considering the offer from the Londoners, would prefer a return to Newcastle United but they look increasingly unlikely to match the Hammers’ bid.

Assaidi will be moved on after an underwhelming first season at Anfield.
The 24-year-old Morocco international made just 12 appearances in all competitions following his arrival from Heerenveen for £2.4million last August.
The winger, who was an unused substitute for the final game of the campaign against Queens Park Rangers, didn’t start a single Premier League game and is surplus to requirements.
Pacheco will also depart having been unable to fulfil his ambition of making the grade at Liverpool.
There were high hopes for the popular Spanish attacker after he was snapped up from Barcelona six years ago.
Rafa Benitez handed him his first-team debut in a Champions League game against Fiorentina in December 2009 but he has only clocked up a total of 17 appearances.
The 22-year-old played in this season’s Europa League matches against Young Boys and Anzhi, as well as the League Cup tie at West Ham, but failed to impress Rodgers.
In January he returned to his homeland after securing a loan stint at Spanish Second Division club Sociedad Deportiva Huesca. He had previously had temporary spells at both Norwich City and Rayo Vallecano.
Pacheco is under contract for another 12 months but will have to cut his ties with Liverpool in order to kick-start his career elsewhere.
Carroll is weighing up his options after his hopes of a dream return to Tyneside were seemingly dashed.
Newcastle, who sold the big frontman to the Reds for £35million in January 2011, failed in an attempt to sign him on loan last August.
The North East club have let it be known they don’t intend to compete for his signature this summer as they look elsewhere for reinforcements.

I don't think Pacheco is good enough and not bothered if he goes. Assaidi is a strange one, he looked good when he first came so there must be some other reason if he's shipped out.

Don't forget, we're not playing in Europe next season.
We can't afford to have a big squad.

It makes you wonder how we ended up signing Assaidi.

Pacheco has always looked like a player who was too good for the reserves but never good enough for the first team. He'll have a career at a lower level

I had really high hopes fro Assaidi. Him and Narsingh tore shit up at Heerenveen and when I saw the transfer fee I couldn't believe it. I guess it was just too good to be true. Like Sheik says maybe something is going on behind the scenes.

Guy signed for 3 million and dont think he has played in 5 premier league games.
What makes the Bebe signing obscure is that he was completely unknown even in his own country. Assaidi had played in the Dutch league for a couple of season before we bought him and he was on the verge of joining Ajax.

You know who our Bebe signing is?
By your criteria its Andy fucking Carroll.

Something went askew with the Assaidi signing - £3mln is still £3mln and if he was on a modest £30,000 per week, the total cost to us would be in the region of £5mln for the season.

As for Pacheco, he looked promising at the start but has never really kicked on. I hope he does well, he speaks well of the clubs he is at and doesnt seem to complain or kick up a fuss and seemed generally happy for guys like Suso and Teixera when they were doing well.

Never seen anything of Patches to warrant a first team squad place. Good luck to him elsewhere.
Assaidi looked a snip at the price. Odd one. Maybe Brendan's gone all anti-islamic.

I'll join the list of head scratchers, I don't understand getting rid of Assiadi. He seems competent back-up on the right sort of wages

Ibe will take his games and minutes ... cheaper and is as competent (it seems).

Agree. If Assaidi is going to be used as sparingly and makes as much (little) impact as he has, may as well give his place to an up-and-comer like the Ibes and Sterlings.

I was impressed with Assaidi in the cameos I've seen.

His disappearance for long spells is baffling.

Whatever the problem is/was I hope he gets more run outs.

Depending on our signings and his performance in pre-season and training, I'd rather give him another season (while allowing the likes of Ibe to go out on loan instead of sitting in reserves team or on the 1st team bench). On one hand, he could prove himself to be a good/more than decent squad player. On the other, the progress of the younger lads won't be stalled.

I would agree with this approach. Ibe won't get enough minutes to make the improvement that he needs to make. Assaidi would be a decent squad player for another season.

I presume Assaidi was suggested by Jen Chang and was signed without Rogers wanting him. Just a guess. Didn't Chang have a blog that raved about him prior to joining us??

I liked Assaidi, he was tricky and had pace. We never got to see him properly as he didn't get a chance. Hopefully he is used as bait to bring Ericksen here from Ajax. I know I didn't!!

Pacheco is suffering from Leto syndrome as Ross alluded to. Too good for the reserves but not impacting in senior games. He should have stayed at Norwich on loan that time.

There were issues from the off, it's seems fairly obvious he hasn't settled for one reason or another, he won't be here next season. I did like the look of him though.

Apparently Rodgers has the final say and really likes the options the mysterious committee provide him, so that's out.

When did Assaidi arrive? When did Roger's arrive? It did seem as if Roger's wasn't keen on him at all.

It's just a theory i'm throwing out there. I was sure someone else also alluded to it before.

3m for Ass man.

Pacheco - nil (sell on clause hopefully)

Spearing - 2m

Carroll - 15

Coates - 5m

Downing - 9m

Flannghan - 0.5m

Adam morgan - 0.25m

Is this it?

Well the signing ended up seeming so odd it's hard not to speculate. Maybe he just gambled.

Liverpool see off Ajax and Fulham to sign Oussama Assaidi for £2.4m

Liverpool have beaten Ajax and Fulham to the £2.4m signing of the Morocco winger Oussama Assaidi.
The 24-year-old, who has entered the final year of his contract withHeerenveen, had been expected to join Ajax but rejected a move to Amsterdam over personal terms. Martin Jol then sought to use his Dutch contacts to bring Assaidi to Craven Cottage only for Liverpool to agree a deal that will see the winger become Brendan Rodgers's third summer signing.
He is due on Merseyside on Thursday night and should he pass a medical and be registered before noon on Friday, he can go straight into the squad for the Premier League opener at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Rodgers does not view Assaidi as an immediate first-team starter but someone who will improve his options on both flanks and strengthen the Liverpool squad. The winger has spent his entire professional career in the Dutch leagues and had the choice of playing at international level with Holland or Morocco. He chose the latter, making 22 appearances for his country so far, and was also wanted by Spartak Moscow and Galatasaray before Liverpool made their approach.
Rodgers is also pursuing loan deals for Nuri Sahin of Real Madrid and Barcelona's Cristian Tello and said on Thursday that he hopes "to get one or two in within the next 48 hours".

We might keep him and use him with a view to making him a solid rotation player.

Bizarre first season though.

+1 Seems a genuinely nice guy and big LFC fan. Would love to see him have a good career somewhere that his skills fit in and are appreciated.
