To be fair to the bloke - which is hard for me to do, seeing as I regard him as an immensely irritating little tit - he's been uncharacteristically impressive since the summer. He went out and clinched the Firmino deal with real speed and professionalism; he pushed through the Benteke deal when it could easily have dragged on and on; and he's sorted out Klopp's contract negotiations in a couple of days. Obviously it's not just him, but no big deals - which he normally gets the flak for - happen just through one person's initiative and effort, so the bloke actually deserves some praise for recent actions. Having said that, we really need a much better operator in his role - you need, apart from other skills, political and diplomatic talents which he signally lacks - and he should be limited to commercial matters.
