I think scoring two goals to turn around a 3-0 deficit and knock Barcelona out in the semi-finals probably helped.

Yes, definitely the semis had a bearing. And even all that form for Holland recently too may have influenced.

Holland had a very good campaign in that Nations league and he played his part while winning the CL. Glad for him to get some reckognition. Normally they just fill it up with the Real Madrid reserves or so.
