So they pay us 1.4m to loan him and we pay 5m a year in wages!?

Thats the problem dealing with these Italians. They screw us on the pitch and off it. Balo should go to PL on loan. West Ham are always looking at players we don't want, we can do two for £20m to them (for B&B).

Mario Balotelli's Liverpool career is effectively over after he was made to train away from the rest of the first team squad.
The Italy striker has been reporting to Liverpool's Melwood headquarters every day but, along with Jose Enrique and Fabio Borini, he is undertaking a regime separate to the one that Brendan Rodgers is using for those who he will be relying upon for the new season.
Balotelli moved to Anfield last August for £16million from AC Milan but last week in Kuala Lumpur Rodgers said it was up to the 24-year-old to decide his future.

Now, though, this latest development is a firm indication that Liverpool have taken charge of the situation and made it clear by freezing him, Borini and Enrique out of the main action, that there is no future for them on Merseyside.
Liverpool conclude their preparations for the new campaign this weekend with games against HJK Helsinki on Saturday and Swindon Town on Sunday and Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke are expected to make their first appearances for the club following their respective £29m and £32.5m moves from Hoffenheim and Aston Villa but Balotelli, Enrique and Borini will not be included in the squads for either of those games.

They will be left behind, just as they were when the club went on its pre-season tour of South East Asia and Australia.
Bologna are the latest club in Serie A to be linked with Balotelli, who has two years remaining on his £90,000 per week contract, but Liverpool have not received any formal enquiries for a player who only scored four goals in 28 appearances last season - only one of which was in the Barclays Premier League.
West Ham have been monitoring Borini's position but there has been no approach, while Liverpool have also held discussions with Enrique's advisors in an attempt to resolve his future - the Spaniard has 12 months remaining on his terms but has shown no sign that he wants to become a free agent.

So we try to force players who say they want to leave the club to train with the first team, while shunning those who do want to play. Bonkers. In this situation, provided Balotelli is well-behaved and positive, you treat him with a bit of respect and concentrate on ear-bashing his agent to move him on. He wasn't left on our doorstep one night. We bought him. We asked him to come. There are dignified ways of dealing with this and it's high time we stop this kind of nonsense.
It's a bit like chasing after a woman, marrying her and then deciding she's a pain in the neck so you just dump her and snub her and resent her for ever having anything to do with you. Come to think of it, can we have a thread on that? I bet it will be really entertaining!
I do agree, but when I read "training away from the squad", I imagine they're just not taking part in drills aimed for the next match, which they'll play no part in, do they really send them to the other side of the training pitch to train away from the others, who are doing the same drills? That sounds like the kind of shit kids do when they fall out over who's ball they're going to play with.
I think Rodgers has handled this poorly - Balotelli seems to have behaved well - no incidents whatsoever - and no reports from anyone about 'not training' etc ... Rodgers never wanted him. Top managers deal with players forced onto them, or away from them. They don't always succeed but they deal with them more professionally than Rodgers has. I hope he learns from this, and the committee (regardless of who pushed the buttons to sign Balo) should be told that any player where there is such a 'NO' from the manager shouldn't be signed - regardless of value etc.
So not only do you abhor the debate in the other thread on Rodgers' divorce, even though you constantly return there and probably have more posts than Peter Hague in the thread, but now you drag it over into this thread ! You are like a United fan; detest Liverpool but obsessed with them at the same time 😉
Agreed. Its been reported that its part of the training sessions they're not involved with I think, and thats fine.
Its also a good thing that we dont play them in the pre season games like we've done before.
There is no point in that imho if they're not gonna be involved when the season starts.
If the comments are true that Rodgers has leaked the Mario is the 7th choice striker at the club, then thats poor. But we dont know if he did.
