Based on the starting 11s, I think Bayern are the favorites in this tie. Their 4-2-3-1 has a clear, elegant structure: a solid base with Javi Martinez, Thiago alongside him stringing passing moves together, James as the killer pass specialist in the middle, pace and goal threat from the wings and world's best #9 up front. Meanwhile, Klopp went with a midfield of 3 attack-dogs who will do their best to disrupt and snuff out threats, but I don't see how we can build enough positive counter-play to really trouble Bayern. The best hope is front 3 pouncing on a mistake or creating something on their own. It's not going to be an enjoyable game.

The midfield is uninspiring, hard-working yet uncreative & lacking an edge.

It's a 'don't lose' midfield', when I wanted an aggressive attacking side tonight, he's being too conservative & showing them way too much respect imo.

Hopefully, Klopp shows why I'm a nobhead sitting on my couch & he's a millionaire footy manager.
