We were discussing this topic at the weekend and imagining a world where a cartel of club owners just all made an agreement that no one buys united players and let's them suffer.

Honestly, they're lucky they get to pay in three instalments, a lot of release clauses require the full amount up front and the fact they can pay in three is probably down to Cunha's agent being savvy.

That report doesn't actually say they've agreed to pay in three instalments. Wouldn't it be a shame if they still tried to pull a fast one and the whole thing collapsed around them oh please oh please.
It's way more funny to laugh at them going on an Asia tour and people not showing up, and the BBC running a headline of "why support a team that loses a lot."

As @keniget alluded to, relegation might actually be a better option for them long-term as it would probably force the Glazers to sell.
It would also be the trigger for fully dynorodding their hopeless first team squad. The only way I can see for them to get rid of all that dross is if they can't pay the wages any more.
it’s tough to know what’s best from a liverpool fan pov. the talented overpaid troublemaker might be just the ticket. although watching them fail to attract or afford their targets is equally appealing
Nah. Even better is for Cunha to sign and then be utterly shit and fall out with Amorim.
