Bite, Nibble, Munch and Chomp

I don't get everyone finding this funny. It's fucking indefensible. How doesn't he realise there are millions of cameras on him? What advantage was he hoping to achieve?

I know there's no way to say this without coming across all 'Internet hard man', but if a grown man bit me in any situation I would punch him in his fucking mouth.

What a fucking imbecile.

I don't how anyone in their right mind thinks he made a rational decision to bite someone.

He's clearly off his chops on adrenalin or something...

.... and someone should've punched him hard in the face - maybe a bit of Pavlovian training might have encouraged him not to bite again.

It is funny though.....

If he gets a large international ban and nothing domestic then that is ideal for rest during the international period. I can see pressure being put on The FA to do something but surely they aren't able to intervene.

Also - if FIFA try to impose any form of domestic ban and I were John Henry i'd just set up an army of lawyers to start working on the case against FIFA's corruption.

Absolutely.

Why would LFC pay wages to someone banned while playing in an international tournament. Can of worms - if they have to release a player for the tournament - then one would assume they can't be penalised for anything that happens.

Suarez could probably sue FIFA for lost earnings.

The FA have no jurisdiction here - nothing they can do without.

He'll get a ban from international football.

I could almost absolutely guarantee you that whatever international ban he gets will end just in time for Coppa America this time next year.

I've got a feeling they're going to ban him from club football too. 6-12months ban, all comps

They can't.

Disciplinary code : They can enforce sanctions in FIFA-organised competitions, but they cannot enforce them in competitions organised by national associations unless they deem the association's conclusions were wrong (i.e. refusing to sanction a player for racism, in which case FIFA can intervene). A ban can only have worldwide effect if requested by associations (e.g. in cases of doping or match-fixing) and then FIFA need to agree to that request before it can be enacted.

Reactions: HC
Bill Barnwell: I wonder whether Suárez is using his bites as a tactic to try to get somebody sent off in a desperate moment. They’ve all come late in matches against rival opposition. His first bite came in stoppage time of a 2010 scoreless draw between Ajax and perennial title contenders PSV Eindhoven, moments after Suárez had seen Ajax teammate Rasmus Lindgren sent off. Next, in 2013, he bit Branislav Ivanovic late in an April match between Liverpool and Chelsea that had Champions League implications. Liverpool trailed 2-1 at the time. On Tuesday, obviously, Uruguay was minutes away from being eliminated from the World Cup when Suárez bit Chiellini. It’s fair to say that Suárez could probably find easier ways of getting somebody sent off, but it’s also worth noting that he hasn’t been carded for a single one of these incidents and his team has scored afterward in two of the three games.

[article=http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/385626/Liverpool-legend-Robbie-Fowler-SLAMS-Luis-Suarez-and-believes-striker-is-set-for-exit-door]LIVERPOOL idol Robbie Fowler has slammed Luis Suarez for his latest biting controversy and believes the forward could heading for the Anfield exit door.

The Uruguay superstar is currently facing a World Cup KO as well as a lengthy suspension for appearing to bite the shoulder of Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini towards the end of their crucial Group D clash.

Suarez has previous for biting, having been handed a 10-match ban for sinking his teeth into Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and a seven-game suspension for chomping on PSV midfielder Otman Bakkal.

FIFA could hit the 27-year-old with a suspension of up to two years and Kop legend Fowler insists he would not be surprised if the club decide to sever ties with the forward this summer.

"Most Liverpool fans love him as a player but he's continually dragged the club's name through the mud," he told talkSPORT.

"It's not right, especially after how they helped him last time. They tried to rehabilitate him. I wouldn't be surprised if Suarez left now.

"He's a different person on the pitch. I'm flummoxed, he's dragged the good name of Liverpool through the mud again, and it's not right.

"You can't defend him. I love him as a player but you cannot condone what he's done."[/article]

I doubt it is planned, the reaction looks like it's all pure raw emotion. Probably the same thing that drives his determination to win. Gotta decide whether to accept his bad with the good.
Also, why didn't the guys who got bit did not punch him in the face anyways? Shock at the audacity?? Paralytic horror at being eaten alive by a cannibal???

I know people are freaking out a bit and believe me I won't be laughing if he gets any kind of domestic ban but I still find it all quite funny. He's got the media apocalyptic with indignation. Some of the things I have heard are hilarious. My favourite being Collymore's take on it. He was (pardon the pun) practically frothing at the mouth with rage. Lifetime ban both internationally and domestically. Pleeeaaase! 🙄
