Rumour is the ban will be 6 games with Uruguay given the right to appeal. Uruguay are expected to appeal and given the time it would take to appeal, Suarez would be able to play till at least the Semi Finals..

I'm already trolling a load of mates by defending him to the hilt, that'd be the icing on the cake.
Half of that defense is true though, the reaction is bizarre. It's like when that Diana lass died, me & my mate saw it live & thought, meh, then gradually almost the entire country went insane in some ultra-faux outpouring of grief for this obscenely rich girl they'd never met.
That for me was the starting point for the societal reaction to any incident, good or bad, it just gathers pace & becomes a competition to see who can have the greatest response, either critical, greifing, or celebration, modern social media has made it possible for the fat lazy twats to comment from their couch & attempt to get their own 15 seconds of fame (no longer minutes, it moves faster than that now.

I think some are going a bit far on the other side to counteract the media reaction. The truth, as usual, is somewhere in the middle. A year or two is crazy, three games is a bit lenient. I think ten games is about right, wouldn't be surprised to see a bit more or a bit less than that.
People aren't *absolving* him of blame, but loads have *defended* him. I know I and a few others have taken the 'ok it's weird but is it really that bad' kind of line.
