How any football fan whether Liverpool or not can condone his actions or expect him to not get a worldwide football ban is beyond me. It is not funny.... it is not clever..... it is not for us to be making jokes about.
If this guy did this in the street he would be on an ABH charge, and would be in prison now after doing it 3 times....

Ballbag ballague reckons that 'he's contacted both barca and real since the announcement' and they still want him and will pay the 63mill (80mill euros) release clause. He said that Suarez wants to go to Barca now not real but they dont have all the cash upfront and will offer players but having trouble getting them interested in coming.
suarez is very much like maradona in that the's a footy genius but an absolute nutter and this is part of it.
the thing he does is he demands people rise to his level of deisre to win - i don't think you can replace that, and that is what I think was a major driving force with this team. Take that out, and ... well ... we're relying on Rodgers's brilliance and Studge to stay healthy as we won't be buying two strikers of Suarez or Studge's class.
Oh well ... not fussed ... c'est la vie and yes, I can still smile at this despite my disappiontment with the player because ... well ... it's just foobtall.

He made us forget his troubles last season. This time I'm not sure that he can do it. He'll be persona non grata in England. Booed in every stadium except Anfield.
Press will be on his case, again and I'm sorry to say, rightly so.
I'd have him back for another season, no doubt, and if he performs like he did last season we might just go on to win it.
Don't think the board will want him back.

You're probably right (and I suspect the same applies to the sponsors now) but we're also not going to let him go for peanuts, so he'll stay if we don't get a reasonable offer. I'm not fussed about the reception he'll get TBH - the booing has never completely died out even since the Evra fiasco, and it's never made a difference.
It'll be interesting to see where FIFA came up with the 4 month figure. I can see other clubs have an issue with the ruling if the length is an arbitrary number, as it would shift way too much power to FIFA.
What's to keep FIFA from starting to hand out long term bans for minor incidents, if this isn't well justified. They could easily start dishing out 2 week, 1 month, 2 month bans for digressions previously considered minor, or be pressured to do so on the basis of this ruling.
If this is 4 months ban from all football, then someone could make an argument that Alex Song should be banned from all football for 1 month for his violent conduct. Or Maxi Pereira should be banned for 2 weeks from all football for his kick out against Costa Rica. It's a slippery slope before FIFA are expected to start handing out universal bans for every offense, especially on the basis of this ruling, especially if the justification for this isn't very sound.
Lets see how this plays out from here.

I think it's shit that he's suspended. I don't get any satisfaction from Suarez biting people or from "telling people off". Why would I? That would be sick. Perhaps you're right. We are all LFC fans and so of course it rankles. I'm not sure what you mean by 'disturbed' by the way. My tinterklacker did ping while I was dozing so apart from waking me up from my slumber you've not 'disturbed' me at all...

What he did was very wrong, and even worse considering his priors, but come on dude, it's hardly the worst crime you'll see on a pitch. I'd rather have a semi bite mark than an elbow to the face or battered ligaments.
