Mental. Just mental.

Jones did ok, excluding that massive fuck up!

Bellamy did great, but attracts bookings like shit attracts flies.

Agger was immense. Skittles an ace captain.

Shelvey did very well, esp when attacking.

We were entertaining, if nothing else!

Shelvey and Carroll were excellent.
where do i sign up for the Shelvey fanclub?

Shelvey was very good, Henderson showed a lot of heart at RB, Carroll looked in his element for a change (in a dogfight of a game, ha!) and Agger is a rolls royce of a footballer.

I'm still dreading Saturday but it was nice to enjoy a game for a change and (as Ross said) see the players show a bit of fucking spirit.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the road to recovery. There is a long long way to go.

the difference here is that all of our players gave it there all, i wouldnt have been bothered if we lost because of the effort put in, but now

im ecs-fuckin-static!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone played with their heart on their sleeve, and a lot players proper bled for the club tonight.
Well done everyone, this will get the confidence shoot sky rocket high.

Made up for Hendo and Carroll. Monster performances!

Perfect result for my fantasy team. We won but I had Yakubu who bags me a brace.

Kennys treatment of Maxi has been fucking appaling and as ive said all season its sickened me. 11 goals in 10 league starts and 15 goals in his last 14 starts in all comps and the cunt cant get a game. We dont really deserve good players.

And GOD how I have waited for Carroll to score a last minute header. How many of those has he missed.

Well we don't seem to be able to catch a break and just at the end we get one.
Te performance was poor, the heart and spirit shown was incredible.

But who gives a fuck we won and we needed it

Flannagan with his worst game of his short career. I hope he forget sit and moves on.

The result is great, but what everyone is saying, and I'll repeat, is that the team finally looked that they cared. They finally played as if the badge mattered, as if their pride was important. If anything, it ends the thought in my mind that they'd quit on Daglish.

I think if the team had given this type of effort since 2012 came along, we'd be fighting for 4th. I don't know who has to answer for that -

It is a mystery as to why Maxi hasn't featured more this season. Fitness? Attitude?

He has a real knack for being at the right place at the right time and when he finds himself in those positions he's pretty good at finishing them off. It's a quality that not many others in our side have.

It almost doesn't matter (FA Cup aside) whether he plays much more this season but it is weird looking back on the last 6-7 months.

I honestly dont think he is very good. I havnt seen him have a game yet where he doesnt fuck up.

Really pleased for the lads and for Kenny, hope this is it, the green shoots of recovery.

However, I'm a touch concerned that we got a positive out of the game despite Kenny's tactics and subs.

Didn't get bringing Agger on to play left back, followed by bringing Enrique on later at left midfield. Anyway, worked out in the end.

Yup.

You can say that he's a young player and that he'll make mistakes, have bad games etc., but we've had about 20 games to judge him in and I'm not seeing enough raw talent to make him worth persisting with. He looks out of his depth in the first team.

Some massive decisions for Kenny on Saturday. Blood and fucking thunder tonight by players with a point to prove. Could have easily capitulated like we did against QPR, but everybody showed up.

what I will say if enrique can't learn to release the ball early he should be dropped. pass and move is practically impossible with him because he refuses to release the ball early.
