However, he has now ruled out any possibility of returning to his former employers on a buying spree, insisting he will honour his agreement with Les Verts coach Christophe Galtier not to disrupt the dressing room at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
“I feel like a new person at Liverpool,†Comolli told L’Equipe.
“It makes a nice change to have some clarity from the shareholders. On a daily basis my work has become a lot easier.
“I would like to point out, though, that I told coach Christophe Galtier that I will not destabilise his changing room. I have made no contact with any St Etienne player.

Of course football is a paragon of truthfullness and honesty.

If comoli said he wouldn't return to st etienne to sign a player then I'd expect that to be the absolute truth.

Bit like Dalglish saying babel was going nowhere.

He doesn't really say he won't sign a player from st etienne does he?

He says he won't contact the players directly and destabilize the club. Which is a FIFA rule anyway....

So nothing stops him from approaching the club quietly and making a bid/enquiry.

If he's telling fibs does he get grounded or loose his pocket money for a week.

And Comolli revealed that the club are interested in St Etienne midfielder Matuidi after being impressed by his qualities, supported by statistical analysis.

"In France, all the figures prove that the player who wins the most possession at the feet of his opponents is Blaise Matuidi," Comolli told the News of the World. "That is an extraordinary strong point. When the team plays high, it means a goal chance."

Did Comolli really tell the NotW that? It seems unlikely.

So he's shite at positioning then?
[/quote]

Stats-wise he's seemingly the Lucas of EPL 2010/11 in Ligue 1 2010/11. 😛
