Who is Sama?

Stephen Sama, young CB or emergency RB. Not one of my favourites - he isn't too consistent. He's very strong, not bad on the ball when on form, but his temperament is (or at least used to be) dodgy, he got sent off twice in one season against the mancs for panic pushes chasing forwards into the area. To be fair to him he's been a little more impressive this season but he's still well behind Wisdom, I feel, in terms of potential.

Confirmed team

Jones, Kelly, Toure, Skrtel, Cissokho, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez

subs Mignolet, Alberto, Aspas, Sterling, Ibe, Flanagan, Sama

So either Suarez or Sturridge operating in a wider position or we're going 442?

Very strong. Aspas and Alberto are not doing well if Rodgers won't trust them in a cup game against Bournemouth with the derby three days away.

Hmmm.

I presume plan is to go out and have this won by the hour mark and take off Gerrard and Suarez.

I really didn't want to see Cissokho playing but needs must.
If our movement is good we should batter them.

Unnecessarily strong team. Absolutely no point to risking Suarez with Everton on Tuesday. Aspas and Alberto should have started.

I like it. Win the game and get out of sight by half time, then bring on the reserves.

Progression is important in the cup

Really surprised to see Sama really, considering Lloyd Jones was getting into the senior squad in the tail end of last season ahead of him. Haven't seen him this season but he did look like he'd improved a lot last season. Still, I wouldn't suspect he has a future here at all.

Coutinho dropping a lot deeper than usual, that's good, he needs to if he'll ever be able to be a success in this position.

If we go 442 we could get fucking slaughtered.

*shakes head* Slaughtered ? I really really hope that was tongue in cheek !!

Against a team that has won 1 out their last 7 home league games in the Championship ? Fuck me - they are not Man City.

This forum gives paranoia a bad rep on match days !

A complete lack of protection on the wings though, Everton would slaughter us down the wings if we lining up like this.
