we would have played UTD, Arsenal and City at home.

Played a bogey tough away game at Sunderland and played Norwich away which is a chance to make up for the similar challenge West Brom game

So early in the season we will really know a lot about this seasons hopes

I will miss city and Ars games as I am on holiday, no chance of getting to watch the games, nice sky+ viewing when I get back - maybe

My prediction for end of september league points (5 games) = 6 points (soz)
 
We need to win most if not all of our home games this year.
3 home games and 3 away games should be 9 points minimum and regardless of the oppo.
 
We should be in and around the bottom three by the end of September..

We will pick up 5 pts from that lot, I think..

Arsenal and Sunderland a Draw, our first victory will be against Norwich..
 
Typical emotional roller-coaster ride.

- Beat City (yes, I know... but weird things happen when everyone thinks we'll get thrashed... cue euphoria)
- Lose to Arsenal (totally morale-sapping defeat, conceding in the last 10 minutes)
- Lose to Sunderland (not at the races at all)
- Beat Mancs (see: City)
- Lose to Norwich (reverse of the first case - weird things happen when everyone thinks we'll thrash them... totally deflating)

Total = 6 points.
 
i think we'll lose to most of them to be honest, but i think we'll go on a great run after that, we need time badly

Seriously - when I see that lineup and given the learning curve we are on, and how bad SG, Lucas, and Downing were on Saturday, and also the irratic behaviour of our two central defenders - I WON'T be surprised if we have 1 or nil points by the end of September.
- City - too strong for us - players are shitting themselves already.
- Arsenal - to strong for us - players get nervious when playing them.
-Sunderland - players won't be up for it, Sunderland will rough us up.
- Mancs - can lose this quite easily - could be draw, but more so Ferguson knows how to beat teams that will play like we do under BR.
- Norwich - players won't turn up so we will lose

Its gloomy I know - but expect the worse.

How do you know our players are 'shitting themselves already' or get nervous?

Red Mullet - I really felt that they did not try hard enough against WBA on Saturday even after having a man sent off. I cannot believe the attitude of SG, and Downing that day, Lucas I can fully understand he will take a few games before getting into PL mode. I just thought they displayed a loss of heart early after the first game, and demonstrated its going to take time to take on BR's approach to football - probably be middle of October before they get into it proper.

This is how you feel - that's fine. Your feelings are yours. Now answer my question: How do you know the players are already shitting themselves?
 
Just did not see a confident team on WBA as soon as we went down to 10 men, they lost it completely. I have a feeling the game on Sunday will turn out to be like the 2nd season game at Anfield against Chelsea under Jose when we lost 1-4 to them. Just don't think there is enough confidence in that team, to go forward and score when it matters. I don't think SG as captain believes and has given up.
 
I think we'll be horrendous in the first half of the year and much improved in the second half.
