I don't think we tend to sign players to replace players, we seem to target certain types of players and sign them regardless of if the need is immediate or future. I reckon we'll sign the players we plan to sign in the summer regardless of Mane staying or going. We had three great forwards and without any leaving, we signed Jota, Diaz and now Carvalho.

I read it slightly differently, as an admission that he (Klopp) genuinely doesn't know either way.

Fair fucks to him. Played his part, picked up stacks of medals along the way. Wants to try something else now and that's grand. We get a chunk of change and have already started the process of evolution in the front line.

Can anyone remember Mane being injured? Hes so consistent. Always available, always gives 100%, physical and aggressive, rarely goes below a 6/10.

If we’re shifting Origi, Mane, Salah and Bobby over the space of 3 transfer windows - that’s a very big problem for us - it’s too many new components to be integrated at the same time as the Midfiels needs a couple of new additions.
We're going to replace them, which we will have to sooner or later, and I'm glad we're don't it when Klopp is still at the helm.
Mane's 30, and a few of us were ready to boil him down for glue a few months back. This might be the best outcome for all rather than have an aging ex superstar burning up 300,000 pounds a week. At least now there's space for Mbappe

I guess the club have decided to not stand in his way on this, probably because they realize that they would have to 'do a PSG' to entice Mane to stay and considering his age it's not financially worth it.
I think we are ok but we do need to go and buy a striker/forward now...
