He buggered his foot again on return to training

Hard to equate such a big, powerful lad with so many injuries

Sent from a mobile device - apologies for any crap

The Newcastle youth coaches are hopeless. I heard one the other day explain that they noticed very early on that, whenever Carroll jumped to head a ball, one of his feet landed on his heel. The coach cheerfully explained he recognised 'that it would cause progressive problems' but decided not to correct it because 'he jumped so high'. Most of his injuries now stem from that.

Yeah i remember hearing about that. My issue is how did liverpool and now west ham not try to rectify that problem themselves?

He doesn't look after himself at all so it's no surprise he's regularly injured.

He deserves it.

Poor kid, to be the most expensive british player in the Prem and then not start again.

Im sure the heel thing is just made up bollocks, he's clearly made of kitkat tinfoil and folds under the slightest pressure. Altenatively, look at Keiron Dyer and the rest the coaches up there have managed to fuck up.

[article]"We managed to bring Andy's medical forward and I am delighted to inform you that he has passed with flying colours," chairman David Gold tweeted. [/article] 😀

If I was him I'd just sit on the edge of the bed, surrounded by cash, wanking while looking into a full-length mirror, flicking my pony tail suggestively. Works for me (minus the cash and pony tail).

You always land on your heel when you jump then Larry?

[article=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11685/8918584/sam-allardyce-devastated-by-andy-caroll-setback-but-west-ham-striker-will-not-miss-season]Andy Carroll's Achilles injury is not as serious as first feared but Sam Allardyce says it is still a "devastating" blow to West Ham.

Carroll initially sustained the Achilles injury on the final day of last season and spent the summer recovering only to pick up a new injury in training earlier this week.

It was feared the latest setback could rule out the striker for the rest of the season and, although that is not the case, Allardyce still felt the need to enter the market this week for free agent Mladen Petric.

West Ham are not putting a timescale on his recovery, and Allardyce told Sky Sports News: "It's devastating for Andy and ourselves.

"It's not frustrating, it is devastating, because we have gone through the process of 16 weeks to go along with specialist reports on how we deal with the rehab when Andy is recovered from this injury.

"Unfortunately for us, the specialist said there was a five per cent chance it may break down again and Andy is one of those five per cent unfortunately.

"What we have to do is make sure we treat him in the right manner as quickly as we possibly can again and get it right as quickly as we can.

"It is certainly not as serious as last time, that is the one encouraging thing but hugely, hugely disappointing for him and for us."[/article]

I wonder how much the way he looks after himself had to do with being in that 5%

I'm still pleased that he's not our problem any more, thanks Big Sam 👍

He's good for glue.

I don't think we'll ever make such a totally gut wrenching transfer. Makes me love Big Sam just a lil bit for taking him off our hands.

That must be about the 100th time that's been said. I suppose it's a quiet day, but all the same, it's hardly illuminating.
