I don't think it's as simple as that. Allen got injured in pre-season and hadn't been back in the first team reckoning for long when Klopp arrived, besides which (though Klopp got that side to two Cup Finals) we were still very much a work in progress. He did go on to have a respectable career but it wasn't at LFC level.
