In a direct call to the chairman of Blackpool, Karl Oyston, on Sunday night, Comolli asked for a valuation but Holloway suggested that Oyston was unimpressed with that approach. "Damien Comolli rang my chairman faffing about," Holloway said.

Last night Liverpool confirmed that Ryan Babel has agreed a move to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim. He will fly to Germany today to finalise the deal.

I'm not sure what theyre unhappy about.

Did he want Comolli to chuck numbers around for them to say 'getting warmer'?

I say we fuck this off.

He obviously isn't worth 16M. But then again, I wouldn't accept 4M if I was them, nowhere near.

If we're confident he can make a difference & is the player we want, pay for him. If not, move on.

Haha, we haven't actually done anything wrong, just put in a bid or two for a player who wants to leave.

To be fair to Blackpool, they're probably not used to having a player on their books they value so highly, so all this negotiation to nab a couple more mill is a bit unprecedented 'n massive for 'em. They really are coming off a bit amateurish.

We'll just wait til summer, he'll be down to a year on his contract, and they will lose out. IF they get relegated he'll go for sure. He can be had a he'll of a lot cheaper than what they're asking if we just have patience.

At the risk of boring you all with my Darren Pratley obsession................it looks like he's about to sign for Bolton for £3m (from Swansea). He's only available for this amount because his contract runs out in the summer.

I've seen Pratley & Adam in The Championship for the last 2 seasons and IMO Pratley was the better player. This doesn't mean to say that he'll adapt to the EPL as well as Adam has but if Blackpool are going to continue to look for stupid money then we should divert our attention to Pratley..................especially as he's only 25 and not 27 as I mentioned last week.

Tell them we have £16million, but we're not giving it to them.

Haha. The Blackadder school of negotiating.

"And here's a bag of monies... which I'm not going to give to you."

Rebel's guide to the Jan transfer window

1) stop reading the media

2) stop feeding the hype

3) talk about something else

is rebel's guidelines just for rebel or are they for everyone? if they are for everyone, 6CM will be a pretty desolate place during the transfer window.

They've said the offer was 'insulting' and talk about how such an offer was acceptable when Kenny was last manager.

But they dont want to give a figure with which to begin negotiations.

When Comolli asks for their valuation, they say he's 'faffing around'.

Like I mentioned earlier, they cant have expected to have Comolli throw numbers at them for them to say 'you're getting warmer....no,colder....oh that's quite HOT!'

They could have just said 'listen up, we rate him at n million and fuck off if you dont like it'.

Instead Holloway goes on about how we havent replaced Alonso and should buy Adam at 14 million, then 16 million.

I'm surprised he hasnt asked for the 46 million he thinks they'll make if they dont relegated.

He's obviously doing this because Adam wants to come; but there really wasnt a need for all the drama.

I don't really understand any of that.

We should walk away.

If they want anymore than £5m & Spearing on loan then I concur - let's leave them with a disgruntled player and see how that works out for them.

The way Holloway is conducting the Adam business in the media is quite juvenile and amateurish.

We shouldn't go higher than £5M. Its the highest bid so far.

Holloway has alway been an attention seeker though hasn't he? Drama seems to follow him.

Blackpool FC boss Ian Holloway’s public diatribes against rival managers over his sought-after midfielder Charlie Adam cuts no ice with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Speaking in response to Holloway’s recent tirade about the latest offer for the Scot which has denounced as derisory, Sir Alex has decided to respond.

He said: "I've had him (Holloway) bending my bloody ear on the phone. He's never got a penny, always pleading poverty.

“You end up crying after he comes off the phone, feeling sorry for himself. He's always been that way, for loans and so on. Even when he was dealing with (£350,000) signing Craig Cathcart from us, he was saying 'I can't afford him'.

"Now he says he is the best signing he's made!

"Of course he thinks the offers are not enough! When he goes for a player, his view is the asking price is 'bloody disgraceful, bleeding the country dry''. Then somebody tries to buy his players!
