Yeah Insua's definitely dropped a few pounds. I think the lad's got potential. Ridiculously overplayed in Rafa's last season but he's shown flashes of class.
Quite intrigued to see how he'll get on under the new regime if he stays.

Still need another left back to come in though. Enrique would be ideal in my view.
id be happy without buying a left back to be honest, glens being doing a great job and i wouldnt mind seeing insua and robinson jockey for the position
yeah im the same. Kelly can play over that side too.
Count me in too. I actually think Magic's better over on that wing. It makes him think a lot more about his positioning, but doesn't stop him getting forward.

One of the premiership stars of last season, set-piece specialist, coming into his prime with room to improve, Scottish - all for 7m.

What's not to like about this?

Haha.

I suspect though that Buddha's recalling the vital part Scottish players played in our glory days. Our best ever defender (Jocky), arguably our best ever midfielder and IMO our best ever skipper (Souness) and a certain Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish are cases in point.

I was only messing.

There's been more than a few good footballing eggs thanks to the Scots.

So, when can we expect The Rags and SKY Sports News to go on and on and on about how Manchester United have lost out to Liverpool in their pursuit of Adam?

They'll probably be saying he can't be any good considering that the top four weren't after him. Harry will probably chip in by saying he's not fit to do up Gareth Bale's jockstrap or something.

I seem to recall a very fair tackle by our Charlie that sent Bale off the pitch with his tail firmly between his legs. With the new season fast approaching he'll be praying that Arry says nothing of the sort.

I'd like to add that I like Adam, and think he's a good player.

I just didnt see the need to get yet another midfielder, especially since we're losing Shelvey whom I really really rate.

Hope the wingers are sorted out post haste.

a season of playing consistently will do wonders for shelvey

adam is a player with great finesse which we are lacking when gerrard is out. Adam will be a good link between defence and attack

That's not what Sheik said though, is it?

At present, Adam is indefinitely better than Shelvey. Whilst possibly a bit OTT, he's clearly the better player at the moment..

You're right, it's not what I said.

Adam has the potential to be an Alonso, even a Molby for us (yes he's got the figure). His eye for a pass is second to none, and we all know he has just about the best set-piece delivery in the league. He won't be intimidated about gracing Anfield, and I think he's going to go down as a terrific signing by the end of next season. He's another leader too, something that is hugely important. Double figures in goals and assists next season. You heard it here first.

Fair enough i jumped on sheik there.

but hes not infinitely better than shelvey

Infinity times a billion. Not really. But he's a lot better right now.

At this moment in time he is.

@stephen1martin: Shelvey on loan to Blackpool with split wages, Wilson on loan to Rangers, Downing fee should be agreed soon and bid for Dann to be upped.

I have great hopes for the lad but the Sheik has it
It will do Shelvey good and they are not the sort of club he will decide he wants to live the rest of his life with, like some of our loanees
