Like I said before, and I've been saying this week in the real world, we couldn't really ask for a better bunch of fixtures to build up some momentum. 5 teams we should beat to build some confidence and a run of performances. A bit of a gimme. Get the first result, get the second, allay some fears, the players relax, we start to see more structure, maybe a performance etc etc.
Sadly the bald fraud can't handle a low block and direct football.
Straight out the gate, he loses 0-3 (the scoreline flattered us) to a Sean Dyche team at Anfield that are in the bottom 3 and haven't won away all season.

It's not even as if this squad is Roy Hodgson or Brendan Rodgers bad. That's how you know he's an awful manager. Look at the players at his disposal. And they're all getting worse.
This squad is joint second in quality and depth IMO with City.

It's beyond ridiculous for this to be true but it is. We are shit at everything from back to front. There isn't one thing that's good about us or working.
Seriously, though, what's the point of seeing if he can turn it around against West Ham away? Even if he does, it doesn't prove anything. Today was all the nails in his coffin at once. That was genuinely unforgivable.

If I felt he can change things and things would improve then would keep him but even before the Villa game, it felt like things were getting worse performance wise. He seems to have also given up and 70% of the players are not putting in the required effort. It’s not the Liverpool way but there is no way we should be losing this amount games in such a short space of time as well as last two 3-0. Also, I don’t see any similarities with Klopp’s losses in 6 at home over Covid, there was mitigating circumstances back then. I don’t think he can afford to lose the next game in such a weak manner.
So who replaces him?
Yeah the damage will be irreversible if we keep with it but his successor has to be a more sure thing which is hard to do mid season.

I don’t understand how he hasn’t been sacked, are FSG purposefully waiting until CL is unattainable?

He needs to start winning games that’s for sure but I do think there are so many reasons for our slump.
He’s very unlucky City away came after Madrid and then an international break where we always look sluggish after.
We also lost our only fit RB which upset the balance in midfield and Wirtz on the left looked promising.
Fine margins again as we started strongly and got sucker punched after a bad unforced error by Konate and a goal that shouldn’t have stood.
Unfortunately for Slot though things can snowball quickly in football so he needs a bit of luck now and our better players to dig in consistently.
What would 3 wins do to demonstrate that he deserves to stay in his post?
In 2025, he's had a good January and late August/early September. That's two months out of eleven (nine if you're discounting June/July). Sure he's won the title, but we're also 11th in the table in November, and since February, have accumulated less PL points than 15 teams in the table. That's the best evidence of how far he's taken us. Remember, we had two wins against Villa and Real before reverting to Slot's new normal.
And then he's had the cheek to come up with some Hodgsonian bullshit about Szobo being used to disappointment.
I honestly don't care if he wins us the next three PL games.
I can only speak from personal opinion, but I'm ignoring the city result. They're a better team with a better manager, so that result was expected.

I have no qualms with their goal being allowed after all the moaning and crying we did about virgils goal against city.
We were second best against a team in the bottom 3, at home. Even if we scored 2 in the first 20, I don't trust us defensively not to concede 3 anyway.

We've completely failed a way to include one of the most promising attacking mids in Europe.
Tactically We're at best naive and at worst inept. We don't challenge for second balls and we lost duels across the field. Considering quansah was immediately dropped and sent to the midnight zone for that reason, persisting with some of these players doesn't make sense.
Slots been found out and it feels like some of the players are realising it.
After a night's sleep I've realised it's pointless to persist. The same problems have been in every single game. Hell, they've been prominent since march when our form went dodgy.
