Exactly. We can spend another 200m and have another 9/10 window to fix it.We need to be decisive. A new manager can use January to right the very obvious wrongs in the squad.
Christ this is all depressing

It really doesn't have to be.Exactly. We can spend another 200m and have another 9/10 window to fix it.

True, I could just be completely apathetic on the issue
Yeah this sums it up nicelyYeah, I was of the opinion of give him until Christmas and see where we stand then. Give him a chance to turn around.
But to fail so abjectly at the first relatively simple hurdle in such spectacular fashion, to fall flat on your face and smash every bone in your skull... That result and performance yesterday said everything we need to know. The rest of the games don't matter. We don't need to wait until Christmas.
He's out of his depth and doesn't have a clue.
Give a competent manager these fixtures as a nice settling in period to pick up some points and build some momentum. These games are wasted on this fraud.
Semenyo and Anderson to that mix would add work rate and ability. Centre backs - well that’s over to folk who watch more wider footy than me. I like Guehi, for a free it’s a no brainer….but we absolutely will need another with more physical attributes and height. The squad minus VVD & Mo has potential to win titles, but it needs someone who sees how to bring that together
Marmadash
Kerkez
Bradders
Gravy
Macca
Szobo
Wirtz
Ekitike
Isak
All under 27, most under 23. It’s literally just missing the spine, and more importantly… tactics.
I just don’t get how he can go from being a good manager to this.
i just don’t get how the fuck we spent so much money on attacking players and not only do we look much worse we look like we need to spend another 200 next summer or sooner.
we look better without wirtz, we have 2 ultra expensive 9’s that we can’t/won’t play together and our superstar forward we threw the chequebook at to keep is stinking the place out quite frequently.
that’s before we even discuss the fact it was pretty obvious gakpo isn’t at the level to be an automatic starter for liverpool and we have two promising squad forwards who are inexplicably being given next to no game time.
it’s a mess, i’m half tempted to see what he does with salah away but i’m sure the answer is nothing clever and it’ll just be more disappointment. i think i’d rather bring back rodgers right now, he at least had a distinct style, and was able to get us challenging on a tight budget.
I just don’t get how he can go from being a good manager to this.
to expand on the wirtz thing, i think he’s decent and looked like it could maybe work when he’s not part of the midfield 3 but i think that might be what klopp sold him on?I still think we look more cohesive with wirtz, we've just got mongs up top making the wrong runs or refusing to pass
I was thinking Roberto di MatteoMaybe he wasn't one?
He's looking increasingly like our Roberto Martinez
I was never all that enamoured in the summer to be honest, he’s a striker that needs to be fed, isn’t a work horse - isn’t tenacious in a press or tackle. In a nutshell he’s not a player who will grab a game by the scruff of the neck either with the ball or without it, he’s just goal scorer - a more effective Ollie Watkins. Or in our case a very expensive shiny Ollie Watkins.Genuinely think we’d be in a better position today if we’d kept Nunez and not bought Isak. I’m sure he’ll start to look good, but for 140 he should be looking GREAT, and not need time to settle.
It’s the type of wasted signing that could set the club back years.
I'd indeed imagine we'd look far better with Barnes and Murphy on the wingsI was never all that enamoured in the summer to be honest, he’s a striker that needs to be fed, isn’t a work horse - isn’t tenacious in a press or tackle. I’ve no doubt we can re-organise our approach to work the ball out wide to work crosses in or pull backs and get a song out of him in terms of goals - but neither Mo or Cody are really those types of providers.
I'm honestly shocked that some are willing to give him until the end of the season.
I wish I chose the option to see what everyone voted for.Give it another loss or 2 and they'll flip flop to "should've sacked him after City", we already know who these people are.
The thing I've come to learn about Slot is that he doesn't seem to be the type to change his mind.i went next epl game. i voted end of the year in your last one. i’ve been moaning about him for ages now but i think im half voting for what i think might happen rather than what i want.
we’ve got a few hurdles if we want to get rid, the people that appointed him have to accept egg on their face, this downturn was pretty sudden so i doubt we’ll have anything solid lined up and he’s got the whole circumstance/bad luck/transition thing still doing a lot of heavy lifting in the excuses department.
this form can’t continue, we’ll probably batter psv or whoever we play in the cl giving further proof the dutch league is just a tall spl. an embarrassing loss to west ham surely has to be it.
