In fairness, he's made a difference to games this season when he's came on, I don't really understand why he didn't make the CL squad in the first place, if he broke down we could have replaced him in the squad couldn't we? And leaving out the Everton squad afterwards was cuntish behaviour. I suspect Slot doesn't rate him regardless, probably because of something stupid like him not being the right build for what he perceives as his perfect forward. Meanwhile Cody Gapko is working on telegraphing his runs to Crystal Palace.

Should an outfield player face a minimum 60-day absence, clubs are now permitted to bring in a replacement - with this regulation valid through to matchday six.

Article 31.14 states: "Exceptionally, a replacement after the deadlines set in the present regulations is permitted in the following cases and under the following conditions.

"Long-term injury or illness of an outfield player: during the league phase until matchday 6 included, the club concerned may temporarily replace a maximum of one outfield player and register a new outfield player. The club must complete the official registration of List A with the replacement player, who must have been registered with the club in accordance with Paragraph 30.01 to Paragraph 30.06 before the deadline for List A referred to in Paragraph 31.09(e) (i.e. 2 September 2025 - 24:00 CET).

Maybe things will change after that post match praise from Slot the other day? The boy has been phenomenal in his attitude throughout his time with us off the pitch, and his Kuyt-like enthusiasm on the pitch surely rubs off on his teammates. He might not be someone that gets played every single week but he does deserve a run of games. Such a likable lad. Rooting for him!
