The manchild.

He's gonna be quality.

I hope you're right Ryan - I'll jump on the "Ryan knew Wickham was a stud from day 1" bandwagon now to show support.

I reckon he'll end up being above average, but not a world beater. Persistent injuries will hamper his development

According to some other sites he's nailed on to join us. Thoughts?

Nailed on!

I think he'll be feeling his ankles the day after.

Manny Pacquiao, Jesus of the Philipines?

It's difficult to call because, like Shelvey, there's no guarantee that he'll continue the progression froma promising start. Shelvey was phenomenal when he broke into the Charlton team at 17 but was disappointing in his second season and then joined us - he could still develop into a top player but the jury is out. Wickham has impressed so far but if he costs us £10m+ it's a huge risk.

Nicky Maynard of Bristol City is 24 and averages a goal every 2 games and should be available for about £3m (because he only has 12 months left on his contract) and we should snap him up, he'd be a great squad addition.

Will he develop as much if he joined us and doesnt play week in week out?

Would like him here though.

We'd probably be better off loaning him to a Premiership side who will play him week in, week out if we do buy him.

With no European football next season, we'll have less games to go round.

Perhaps but I'd prefer if we could use him a bit like mancs have used Hernandez this season.

He'd be better than Eggnog, who I don't mind, but let's face it, he's clearly not in the managers thoughts and would probably attract a fee of about £5m.

I'd be amazed if anyone offered us £5m for N'gog.

Someone would, he's got goals in him and could lead the line for someone like Stoke or Sunderland.

Eggnog doesnt play much nowadays, so maybe you're right. Sell him and buy Wickham and have him as a backup striker. Maybe he can Pacheco can be the reserve Carroll and Suarez.

If he had goals in him he would have a career here.

7 goals in 34 games in the championship....i'd well have him instead Eggnob.
That's an "OK" record considering his age. He definitely doesn't warrant a £10 Million fee, though.

£15 million clause. He's worth the total of his contract. Appaz. Better prospect than Egg cos Egg ain't a prospect no mo.

Is he a ginger?
Afraid that he has no soul?

Good move if true.

Haven't seen much of him but a lot of posters on here who has seems to rate him, and as been said Ngog hasn't pulled up any tress so far. He's not good enough at this level I'm afraid.

Most wanted top-talents should always be considered for Liverpool FC in my opinion.

Hope this is true.

Fucking hell that one where he takes the ball over his shoulder on the wing and controls it first time, midway in his own hald and runs three quarters the length of the pitch is brilliant - sign him for that alone.
We need at least three top strikers.

regards

From what i've seen he does seem rather slow.

I'm yet to be convinced that this lad is worth anywhere near the figures being stated.

That really was a thing of brilliance.

He appears to be two-footed as he switched to his left for the finish.

Yes please !
