Curtis main issue has always been his fitness and arrogance. Hopefully he can at least resolve his fitness issues. Plenty of years ahead of him.
Great to look at but extremely stupid
Don’t know if it was mentioned in the match thread, but Slot finally started solving the Kerkez deep build-up problem by having Jones drop into the LB spot every time we’re building from the back, allowing Kerkez to move up the pitch. Jones is far more comfortable with the ball at his feet, not to mention two-footed, so we got the best of both worlds: Kerkez didn’t ruin our build-up, but we got his defensive tenacity and speed, every bit of which was needed to keep Minteh at bay.

I'm not sure about him often being the last man back when we're on the attack. I know it makes sense in the context of letting our full backs progress but i thought that was gravy's job. Either way, another very good game.
And yeah noticing this is much easier when you're at the match. In many attacks which the TV cameras would have been following the only man left on the halfway line was often CJ

He was excellent again. The MOM thread is mental, anyone without Curtis in the top 3 should watch another sport. And putting Wirtz in ahead of him, pure agenda.
We have 2 attacking full-backs (especially now with Bradley/Frimpong back and Gomez out), so we need 2 midfielders (Gravvy + 1) to stay back at most times to make sure we’re not vulnerable to the counter and help with build-up. I’m just surprised Slot didn’t do this earlier.
