Brendan on BBC regarding transfers:

Interviewer: One day of the transfer window to go, have you done your deals in terms of coming in, obviously question marks about one or two going out?

BR: Yeah, mostly done coming in, maybe one more, obviously a few boys that have been told that they're not going to get any game time. They've been given that respect early on to help themselves find a new club, because if they don't it's gonna be difficult for them to get games. So, yes mostly ones going out as opposed to ones coming in.

Interviewer: The last two squads you picked Lucas hasn't been involved, there's been a lot of talk of him and Napoli and one or two other clubs interested as well. Is he likely to be one that goes out?

BR: Not sure, he's a very important member of our squad. It's been unfortunate that he's not been involved but he's worked very hard and very well and I haven't heard anything about Lucas. So we'll see in a few days.

Candidates out:
Lucas
Suso
Coates
Borini
Assaidi

In:
Romero?

gonna be an exciting day for the reds while their owners try and reduce their net spend to zero. hold on to your seats.

Thats a cunt of a post mate. Henry and co have spent the money needed and have been willing to any deal.

As Morenos 12 mill deal confimed, you dont have to spend 30 mill on Shaw.
Brought in 9 players and built the best squad in 20 years. We've got nothing to complain about.
Its been an excellent window.

We are not a team of superstars i.e. Moneybags Chelsea / Man City but we have great players and sufficient up and coming players to make this another exciting season. A great window. Like someone mentioned in the match thread, for once there are quality substitutes that could make a difference compared to last season. Have a look at Arsenal and Man U squad in comparison.

Another decent deeper experienced MF option would be nice to have. Bit like Arsenal bringing in Flamini at the end of the window last summer.

I think Nigel De Jong is very underrated for that role.

we could still clearly do with more so why the fuck aren't we? increased tv money, cl money and no doubt more should see us with a warchest of more than zero. our great window has been very good but it is a kind of sleight of hand.

Presumably because in order to secure financing for the anfield redevelopment we need to meet certain targets.

Of course they may surprise us & be keeping some aside for January in case we need something specific then.

Either way I feel it'd be churlish to moan tbh, although I'd agree that in an ideal world we should have an extra striker & a deeper playing midfielder.

We've spent over 100million and you're moaning about how much we've spent, cry me a fucking river.

Lovren - 20m
Lallana - 25m
Balotelli - 16m
Markovic - 20m
Moreno - 12m
Lambert - 4m
Origi - 10m
Manquillo - Free
Can - 10m

Thats a boss transfer window.

Id love a DM but i cant complain about the work Mr Rodgers has done.

It's been answered half a dozen times. Without being owned by a sheik, or a Russian billionaire, it's as good as it gets. You'll be pining for windows like this in a few years.

Yep, Barrett saying we want Valdes aswell.

Some stories from Colombia that Utd will get Falcao.

We still need another striker imo. If we're playing the diamond (as seems likely enough of the time) we need more than 3 strikers over the course of the season.

I'm discounting Borini as he's either off or Rodgers doesn't fancy him anyway.

The Bundesliga one closes in 8 hours.

Ayre better get moving to sign Reus asap.

From my understanding, only the buying club's window matters - i.e. you can sell after your window's closed, as long as the buying club's window is still open. So Bundesliga clubs can still sell to clubs in the EPL (7 hours), Serie A (6 hours), La Liga (7 hours), etc. even after the closure of the German league's transfer window.

Was actually thinking from Dortmund's perspective , i.e. if they sell Reus they would need to get a replacement in. However, I see they have already signed Kagawa.
