Wouldn't be the first time... Didn't Senna take Prost out at the first corner of the final race to guarantee himself the title way back when? And didn't Prost return the favour the following season..? I know something along those lines happened.

Why would the Renault bosses sack a guy who had something like this in his back pocket?
That is the silliest thing in all of this. If they thought for a moment that a sacked, disgruntles employee was going to keep this information to himself then more fool them.
It was a clever ploy though, give them credit for that.
