Do you actually like any of our players?

Never disliked our players as much as I do now. Weird feeling.
The only ones I genuinely feel any affection for are Lucas, Toure and Sakho (mate of mine lives on Koh Samui and had him next door on holiday before the Far East/Aus tour, said he was a lovely guy).
Nothing to do with their footballing abilities, just the feeling you get as people.
And as for the manager. Urg

I tend to like our great / exciting players and dislike our shit ones.

Right now we have a lot of okay to good players so I'm a bit apathetic about the lot of them.

Coutinho stands out the most because out of all of them he's the most visibly good and Brazilian.

It does feel like the last bit of soul the club had left has gone with Gerrard.

The very vast majority of people are good human beings. I would wager if you got to know anyone from the club on a decent level, you'd like them, Sean.

Fame, money and unending adulation can make people act in mysterious ways, though.

We're not really a team anymore that's the problem,
We have the makings of a team, though, maybe in a couple of years provided no one jumps ship, we'd have something to be proud of, so we could feel any affection.
When you line up to an FA Cup Semi vs Villa and get steamrolled with very little effort, you can't fall for that team.

Ming seems like an honest type.

Sakho - comedian and does wonderful work for charity. Ditto Toure.

Coutinho seems like a 'good-un', as do Lambert & Lucas.

Difficult to say anything about the new lads or the youngsters we've not seen/heard much of.

It's a little unfair though because as far as personalties go it's a lot tougher, for those who find English challenging, to get their true nature across.

I really like Sakho. Not as a player. He's just a genuinely good bloke off the pitch working with local people. I used to like Lucas for similar reasons but he seems to have gone a bit weird and embittered. Ibe seems like a good lad. Toure is delightfully mad. It doesn't help these days that the club behaves like some sort of Stalinist myth machine when it comes to making each new self-obsessed chancer seem like a lovely little chap with a heart of gold. It backfires badly because it's so desperate and false. So I just can't be bothered with most of them these days.

Is this not the case?

I'm a bit behind with these sort of things.

The vast majority of people are lying, stealing, whoring, self-indulgent bellends. Which is what nature made us to ensure the survival of the species.

Misanthropy rules 😉

I'm sure that's true. And I appreciate it's nothing more than a feeling, not anything based on knowing them. I just really 'liked' Pepe, Torres, Gerrard, Kuyt, Arbeloa etc. They felt like a team I could connect with as people. This lot just don't cut it.

Fair enough.

If anything has killed this club, it's the way people actually just accept that suarez was too good for us.

Cecil's on holiday in Madagascar at the moment.

I heard his looky-likey got bow and arrowed in Zimbabwe the other day, though.
That was his evil twin, no one liked him. Horrible guy, used to eat babies and rape nuns.

Henderson, Sakho, Ibe, Lucas, Lambert, Allen and Ings all seem like pleasant people, I don't really like or dislike people I haven't met though, well expect for Sterling obvs.

I like most of them apart from Lovren and Lallana, and my first impressions of Clyne aren't that great either.

Sakho, Can, Moreno, Ibe, Henderson, Lucas, Mignolet and Milner all seem nice fellows.

I don't dislike anyone apart from Lovren and Enrique really

Lovren more for his attitude than anything

All about the Hendo though. Goes from being called shit by everyone to being the captain.. You gotta respect that endeavour
