Do you think players give a fuck anymore?

Players at our level (premiership top end) will all retire millionaires. They live a life of absolute riches where nothing matters. They want for nothing and 'work' 3 hours a day 4 days a week and then play a game of football once or twice a week.
They are pampered and looked after every single second of every day of their life. They are adored by men and lusted after by women.
I just wonder if nowadays MOST of them just dont really give a fuck about the small matter of winning trophies.

Footballers Held Over Alleged Sex Attack


Police have arrested six footballers following an investigation into an alleged sex attack.

The unnamed men have been held on suspicion of the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Brighton last July, Sussex Police said.

Five of the men - aged 18, 19, two aged 20 and one aged 24 - are from Brighton.

A sixth man, aged 20, is from Dorset.

The alleged attack was reported to police at the time but the suspects were only identified on January 13.

Four men were held in Brighton at 4.20am this morning while a fifth was arrested in the city at about 7.20am.

The sixth man was held in Dorset at 10.30am.

Sky News crime correspondent Martin Brunt said: "Five of them, it is believed, are from Brighton and Hove Albion.

It is believed the sixth, arrested in Dorset, plays for Bournemouth."

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "All have been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and taken to different custody centres in Sussex where they will be questioned in relation to an alleged sexual assault on a woman in July last year.

"This was reported at the time and the suspects were identified on Friday last week, leading to these arrests."

A statement from Brighton and Hove Albion said: "Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club can confirm that five men associated with the club are assisting police into the investigation of an alleged offence in July last year.

"The club will make no further comment at this stage."

Separately, a spokesman for AFC Bournemouth confirmed that one of their players had been arrested.

Was chatting a family friend at the weekend who works at the club, he was saying most of the seniors players are sound and easy to deal woth but he was saying the youth players whom he would mostly work with were some of the most obnoxious, hatefull fuckers you could ever meet. They think the club evolved around them and it was fuck everybody else. By what he was saying its not going to get any better for a long while.

It's not just the crazy £ they earn either. They're pampered and looked upon as God-like figures...arrogance and ignorance is bound to take over.

Probably from an early age as well, they've never known anything different and got whatever they wanted.

Wasn't it Ekotto at Spurs came out saying he didn't even like football but just played it for the money, at least he had the balls to come out and say it.

Couldn't you also look at it from the perspective that many of them do want to try and give everything for trophies because it's one of the few things in life that doesn't come easy and isn't handed to them? Footballers can buy all the cars, houses, clothes, and woo all the women they want with ease but the trophies are something that are still out of their grasp unless they really put something into it.
