Without a release clause, its not easy for us to sign a good player on the cheap. Our interest in the player immediately raises conversations about the players potential which the selling club may have underestimated so the agreed transfer fee is likely to go a few notches up.
Regarding our scouts, it's easy to feel frustrated with them when compared to their counterparts in clubs like Brighton, Benfica because they constantly come up with some "gems" on the scene, but we have some great team of scouts and analysts behind Klopp, that have kept this club up there competiting with state funded clubs. It takes time to identify a star player and our guys understandably take their time, but to me we have some brilliant guys behind the scenes and I would not rush to exchange them for any of those that are yet to be proven on a long run.
