WHAT FUCKING IMAGE RIGHTS

He has lucrative offers on the table from the Marino Ultima Dieta company for a series of adverts, with him as the 'Before' picture, and from Dolmio, who want him to appear alongside the puppets as jolly 'Uncle Fat Tony' from Montalto Uffugo.

According to Sky Sports 24, Premier League giants Liverpool have come to an agreement with Italian side Napoli over the transfer fee of Andrea Dossena.

The left-back has struggled since his €8 million move to Anfield, but having had a successful two-year spell with Udinese in years past, Dossena will hope that a move back to Serie A will rescue his career.

For an estimated fee of €4.5 million, the 27-year-old is tipped to make the switch in the very near future - all that remains pending is the agreement of personal terms with the player himself.

However, with the arrival of Glen Johnson at Liverpool and the defender's own admission that he would love to move back to the Italian top-flight, Dossena's impending move is expected to be carried out swiftly.

Excellent news.

The funds raised from Arbeloa and Dossena need to go towards a versatile defender.

Fantastic news. I'm glad we were able to recoup a big chunk of our outlay, but I'm still astounded that we bought him in the first place - the scout needs shooting.

Hey it wasn't all bad, he scored a couple of great goals for us and made VDS and co look like cunts!

every penny of the arbeloa/dossena money should be spent on an attacker (along with the alonso money...groan).

We're fucked at fullback Neil, Insua (who still looks a bit off the pace), Aurelio (who's constantly fucked) and Johnson will now be our only fullbacks of note.

I wonder if Gabby Milito has come back into Rafa's thoughts of late. He's been fucked with injury the last year or so (can't remember what it was) and Barca have more than enough defenders, so I can't see how he'll get a game there.

Not saying it's a particularly good idea, but his name just popped into my head.

1131: Andrea Dossena is another defender possibly heading out of Anfield. The player's agent has told Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss that Liverpool have accepted a £4.3m offer from Napoli for the 27-year-old. (Press Association)

What a fucking weird transfer season... selling two players in positions where we dont have much cover?? and 4.3M represents a big loss to take in a year on Dossenna...i really hope that we will have enough cash for a "Silva" and keep hold of Alonso and mash.

I sort of suspected that it would be fucking arse considering the financial news leaked at the start to lower expectations but nonetheless to not strengthen is a shame considering how close we were last time out.

Its worrying, we need to add quality, maybe Rafa has got some funds to spend on top of the money he will recoup from Doss and Arbeloa, I really hope we dont get left buying in yet another fucking "maybe" player to replace the ones we just sold... it wouldnt make sense and it would fucking suck into the bargain.

Yeah if Dossena goes for around £4m we'll have essentially made a loss on last years transfers in the region of £8m... That's without Degen's signing on fee and wages.

Its worrying, I quite like Arbeloa and at times Dossenna didnt look to shit, i sort of hoped he may be able to do a job if he improved in his second year sort of thing...

...fuck knows who we are gonna buy in mark

Yup well done guys that exactly what I said.
If Rafa wishes to keep him long term then he should push up the price, if he intends to sell because he isnt good enough then no need to scare off prospective buyers and be left with a player we wont get anything for.

I'm clearly not saying give him away, just not to ask for ott
Asking for the same price we paid is not going over the top.
It is if we paid over the odds in the first place

i'm just happy the fat bastards left. hey rafa how about you actually watch the players play we pay record fees for next time? oh and u know in that thing we call a medical can we add a pair of scales to the equipment list please?

What a fucking disaster Dossena has been.

As bad as the Keane deal in my book.

Napoli director of sport Pierpaolo Marino says talks with Liverpool full-back Andrea Dossena have reached an impasse, as the two cannot agree personal terms.

Yesterday, Dossena's agent revealed Liverpool had accepted Napoli's £4.5m offer for Dossena. He then said it would only be a matter of time before he signed.

“We have taken a break in order to reflect on this. The move is therefore on hold. There are no immediate prospects,†Marino told Radio Goal.

“The President has spoken to Rafael Benitez, but there is some distance between us and the player. I wouldn't worry too much. We have to speak with Donadoni as well.â€

Dossena currently earns around £1.5m a year at Anfield and reports suggest his wage demands are the reason talks have ceased.
