Post Match EFL Cup Crystal Palace (H) 0-3 29th October 19:45

Sack the cunt. Anyone defending him must’ve had a lobotomy.

Everything was slow. Like it was a July friendly. Every time someone got the ball it was stop it, go back a little, then see forward and most likely lose it. Not even playing the percentages of getting it and putting it in spaces where the wingers or forward would be. No playing it ahead of the man. The gap between back and front after 30 minutes was bigger than the gap between Bonnie Blue’s legs.

The first 30 were okay at best, then everyone started blowing and going even slower because they were not match fit. There was no intensity which meant no fight or even showing they had a right to be on that pitch.

I asked my lads what was the best thing about the match and I got back staying up late and the Chiesa song.
That's exactly what I said weeks ago.

Our defending is shambolic and ANY half decent manager can coach that.

Bur Mr Clean prefers to go on holiday instead.

Plenty of people (not me) wanted to throw this game, and, if we're going to throw a game that's the way to do it, without even further undermining an already ragged first team confidence.

When I say "plenty of people" I mainly mean Dreamie

Oliver Glasner has started 17 different players in Crystal Palace’s three games against Liverpool this season (Community Shield, PL and EFL Cup). 10 started the first two (Eze left, Pino came in). Five started all three – Guehi, Lacroix, Munoz, Kamada and Sarr. Other good players have come in to start including Pino, Hughes, Nketiah. Palace have a good squad, good recruitment (Pino, 23yo Spain international £26m🪄).

Including subs, Glasner used 21 different players in the three games and won all three (CS on pens). What is key is that all understand Glasner’s system and instructions, they all fit in smoothly. That’s good coaching, also man-management especially in how he encourages and keeps onside those who aren’t regular starters.

Also a sign of the great atmosphere in the Palace dressing-room
, and that's credit to characters like Mateta, Henderson and others and an impressive captain in Guehi. It’s right to highlight Liverpool issues affecting the results but also important to salute Palace’s excellence, how good a player like Sarr is (and so often v LFC), the quality of their recruiting and Glasner’s intelligent, inspiring management. #CPFC 🦅

This was one of the darkest days that have been brought into LFC's history by a mediocre manager like Slot and previously B. Rogers. It was a very disgraceful performance. There were 11 individual players who couldn't put two passing together, watched by shell shocked Slot, which had his hands in pockets acting as cool manager. On the contrary, he is clueless on how to stop that alarming slide, which will take LFC to the middle table of the league. And the Aston Villa game will be hugely vital. I will wonder if he would remain as a manager!1 Just look at Arsenal youngsters who had beat the Brighton team easily.

I do believe, that the LFC job is too Enormous for a limited manager like Slot! God Help us!

It's was a cup game, get a grip.
It was bad, but if you're born before the 90s you've been through worse.

The 1 thing I do agree with is our lack of squad depth - we've lacked solid depth for years, & it doesn't help when you sell/loan whatever depth left you have.

Football is more than just splashing a whole load of money on finding a quality first XI and we simply have nowhere near the strength in depth City, Arsenal, Chelsea, even the Utd's and Spurs have.

Also back to yesterday.....
If Ali were fit, Mama starts yesterday
If Jones were ever fit, he starts yesterday.
If Frim were fit, either he or Bradley starts yesterday.
If Isak were fit, Ekitike probably starts yesterday
& if Leoni were fit, so would he.

We probably win the game and everything else is quickly forgotten, probably talking about playing Arsenal in the next round.

We have 20 senior first team players, it's simply never going to be enough.

Jesus we love to overreact.

Absolutely the right choice to play the kids.

I wouldn’t have played Robbo but otherwise perfect.

Onto Villa on the weekend and a win.

I’m taking this to another thread.
