100%. A win against the Nigel’s would be an enormous lift having been beaten twice by them recently and might get us moving again.
The problem with winning and expect us to get moving again is that the moving is not happening in the PL, we lose the next PL game then he has got to go, no way can he continue to lose in the league.

No disrespect, but your living up to you name and you sound like a chelsea fan. That is not the Liverpool way, Arne gets respect for winning the league and time to manage the transition. Next summer depending on results we can talk about in and outs, and I’m sure he can turn it around.

The last match i attended, the midfield pair was David Thompson and Steven Gerrard. Liked them both - thought they both had good careers ahead of them. Didn't notice that one would be a journeyman and one, possibly the best ever player to play for us.

This was back in the day when you had to phone up, 26 days in advance.

Haven't had the opportunity to go since, until this match. @Richey had a ticket going and ive snapped it up. Massive thanks dude!

Can't sleep. Like a kid on Christmas Eve....

I love the build up to matches as much as the match itself. What's the best pre match pub on the east side of the ground?

I hope to see at least some of the 1st teamers, selfishly hopefully VVD because he needs a rest, and Wirtz and Isak's coming of age in a red shirt.
Soz to you in advance too, I suppose.

Does the Liverpool way have room for missing out on CL qualification?
Good question. I am not sure. I would say it depends on the context.
A league winning team, heavy investments, regardless of transition ... I say progress needs to be there, signs that it is coming together.
If not, no CL means the sack.

It may depend on whether Slot queried the sheer number of new signings being brought in at one go. It certainly worried me, and it would be a bit rich of the club to dump him if he warned that this would pose problems. That *might* get him another season were we to miss out this time.

You have to think that in his first season he did not shout for new signings and total change, so why did he do it this season? I think our DoF sold him the dream of new WC players and he went along with it?
I am NOT completely convinced on Slot, but he’s a winner, our winner and should be supported at this time.

Yeah, so he had nothing to do with Frimpong too?

Not saying he has had no input in getting anyone, just rubber stamping. He hasn’t been around long enough to start putting his foot down over transfers quite yet, he got what he was given.

Tbh I think all the signings were spreadsheet squad signings. Frimpong had decent defensive numbers and great attacking numbers for a full back. Make them 35m and it made sense.

Problem is how you interpret the data.

This transfer window will be a case study for data nerds vs football heads. There’s still chance for it to either be a major success of a window or an example of what not to do.

The data nerds need to look at the two most important numbers required to win.

Concede less goals and you need to score fewer goals to win.
