Thats exactly the sort of thinking that sees england lag so far behind at international level, Spain may not win the tournament but their youth players are being groomed in a consistent style that allows them to transition into the first team more easily where the endless hours of practicing these passing triangles will pay off with the superior players around them adding a cutting edge.
By contrast England will always go into these tournaments picking their biggest strongest fastest players because at youth level those attirbutes can win alot of matches for you, when these guys move up to the national team and being faster/bigger is no longer enough to beat top level opposition they will be hopelessly exposed again for their poor technique and inability to retain the ball.
Walker does indeed look an excellent fullback, hopefully that means we wont have to worry about Kelly getting selected for England duty and he can progress out of the spotlight.
Both Jones and Henderson were awful, 16 million would have bought any player on the Spanish team, several of whom are miles better than Jones or Henderson. England badly miss Wilshire in that midfield, hes miles ahead of Henderson or Cleverly
