Post Match EPL Arsenal (A) 0-0 January 8th 20:00

It was the most composed and calm performance we’ve probably put in this season. Aside from the first 15-20 mins we never looked under any sort of pressure. Obviously we had no cutting edge due to lack of attacking options but overall it was a big improvement on what’s gone before

I would have been ecstatic if this was a CL tie and we won the home game.
Honestly, it was a good defensive performance. But, if we're comparing it to Klopp-style football, I'm talking Mané, Firmino, Salah up front?
It was shite.
It felt like a Houllier game.

It wasn't shite or Houllier like, it was the best we've played all season.
It was a top class performance despite missing all three of our first choice strikers.

Post match for a Premiership game, it's the best I've felt about us this season. Arsenal are the bookies favourite for the CL but after tonight I wouldn't fear facing them over two legs. Especially with Ekitike available.

Nailed it buddy. New guy talks sense.

Aw come on.

Terrific performance. Could have won. That Frimpong pass after that fine run was just behind Flo.

No strikers so we were somewhat toothless.

Only criticism was not using subs.

Loved Konate getting stuck into Martinelli.

I think your adrenalin levels are dropping! Keep up the positivity mate 🙂 It's always good to remember we do _support_ the team
It feels much more like this place supports the club and select team members and most definitely not the coaching the staff.

This is a "feature" of our play of late which is also why we aren't being caught out in transition. The small blanket covering the toes and not the head thing.
Yep and Slot needs to fix it but the first part was making sure we didn’t bleed out by continuing to lose. He’s done that. We are currently the hardest team to beat in the league by virtue of the fact we have the longest current unbeaten run and just went to the home of the run away leaders.

I believe he’s earned the time to get the rest right but I’m well aware only maybe Tom Brown agrees with me on that front which in itself is making him question his entire existence 😅

We did win the home leg 1-0 thanks to Dom so over the two legs a 1-0 win 😅.

No way is anyone comparing it to a Klopp. It’s clear Slot has moved away from that and tbh I don’t think any team plays Klopps way, effectively at least.

We don’t have any forward currently close to any of those three.

Salah is aging, Hugo is great but no Mane or Firminio and Isak has been a disaster so far.

For where we are it was a great performance and hinted a lot of positive improvements.

It's not just Tom. There are a bunch of us, most just don't have the appetite for trying to balance the ridiculous negativity in here.
