Also on slot for not using his veto or getting appropriate support. The belief is slot can use youth the bulk out the squad, but he refuses. Slot could utilise players more, rather than sporadically and then bemoan them when they're start and clearly not on the right wavelength.
Both parties are at fault, one can actually do something about it outside of transfer windows
Fitness isn't binary though, you can be fit enough to play 20 minutes, and if it's that, it's probably better to have someone as talented as him on the bench than at home. It would make for less criticism though.
It isn't binary but it's the worry that if he's half fit (fit for 20 minutes), he's more likely to pick up a knock or strain. We need to be wrapping him in cotton wool
I mean, that's probably why he didn't start. Not sure who the alternative is to be on the bench, but pretty sure they're not a quarter of the player a half fit Ekitike is. Hopefully we don't need him to come on.
