Promising early signs from Ekitke. He may never be super clinical but any striker that is only twice a better finisher than Nunez scores bucket loads in this team. His link up play, strength and height and general technical play are proving us with a real focal point.
Kerkez is having a rough game. Wirtz a little flustered and inconsistent on the ball, too. Generally speaking we're lucky to be going into HT ahead and need Szobo, Macca and Wirtz to start pulling some strings in the second half. It's too even and open.

Fair summary. I think Szobo has done well out of the midfielders. Defenders need to realize they are not passing to Gravy in tight spaces.

It's fascinating watching this team because we will get skull fucked some games and also shit on some teams as well, while we are figuring out how everything works, because this is quite technical with technical players who don't really quite know exactly how it all works or where each other are.
If it takes a while to figure out or it doesn't work entirely I don't see us winning much, but there's a lot of ideas at play while we give the ball up regularly and are wide open.

The two fullback are worrying, when called on to actually defend. And Macca has been completely anonymous out there. I'd get Curtis in there for him, and maybe Robbo for Kerkez, too.
They've opened us up too often, and we should have been two down before we scored, and they'll have more chances if we don't wake up - Can't see us keeping a clean sheet here.
That said, they should be down to ten men. How on earth does VAR not catch that? Took 13 minutes of the news season for them to become a shambles again.

I am worried, not that he won't get to a good level, but that he actually needs to hit the ground running for us to play like this. We are reliant on it being worth it to have a wizard out there rather than some solidity. That requires some real understanding to develop quickly.
