Two issues with that assessment.Back on Endo -- tough luck on the first goal and I hope nobody's pinning the blame on him because the attack came down his side. He'd just made a good pressing play broken up an attack initiated by Tavernier, then played a short pass to Salah and pushed forward calling for the return ball on the overlap. Salah opted to use Szoboszlai instead, and when possession was conceded, Endo was too far ahead in the wrong direction to recover anymore. Just an unfortunate break for him IMO.
I think he's just protecting players with those comments.Slot said in his interview.
Joego only had 2 training sessions and so was not ready for 30 mins that's why he brought on Endo at RB initially.
He didn't think we had committed too many players when we lost the goals. He said we will always try to attack instead of sitting back.
Just posting it here since it seems like many hadn't seen the interview judging by the responses.
For the 2nd point, I don't totally believe him as we were alot more cautious under him. What he had mentioned was more of what we did see during Klopp's era. So let's see if it is one off or are we really going to start attacking at every chance even when protecting a lead.
If it's about replacing Endo, sure. We can always upgrade, but its going to be difficult to convince someone like Stiller to join.To be part of the squad and used as and when, unless you really think we don't need defensive reinforcements?
We don't concede 2 sloppy turnover goals if we can bring them on instead of Endo at RB, Jones etc.
He was racially abused by some scally in a wheelchair. Hopefully he was wheeled off the pierhead into the Mersey. What's that about?

He probably would have started, but players want to play regularly. Especially coming from other top leagues. I don't think Stiller would accept being an understudy to a guy who's younger than him.Difficult how? This is Liverpool, 99% of players would jump at the chance to be here.
Plus he would’ve started yesterday’s game.
On balance if his name wasn't Wirtz, and having that price tag, I doubt there would be much concern.
All players have off games. Doubly likely being new to the PL.But that part is inescapable. We've paid for a star, changed our shape for a star and have been hyped up for a star.
Everyone is (or should be) happy to show some patience but in the end, the expectations are clear.
Can you imagine fishing for a Dreamy Like?!there's 3 certain things in life.
death, tax and salah scoring in first game of the season

Oh yeah Jones, hahaha.Players know they'll be stiffer competition moving to a club like Liverpool, but I guarentee less playing time really doesn't detract away from their desire to join a bigger club, in a better league and increasing your pay packet. Plus we have a small squad (21 senior players), there's plenty of game time to go around for those who are good enough. Look how much Jones played last season for example, you don't think a Stiller or Wharton could match or better that?
No different to when we signed Endo who was a starter there, be no different to Leoni or Guehi if we sign him.
I think Slot should consider benching Cody, in order to have Wirtz, Szobo on the pitch at the same time.
We can't be this open away against Newcastle
that's what I'm talking about obviously. They were both on the pitch at the same time?
Whether Cody needs to be dropped now Grav will be back is another arguement but he's not the reason why that midfield 3 yesterday were so fucking brainless defensively.
Gomez was slated to play only 20 minutes, it was a chess piece move to put Endo first,Slot said Frimpong felt his hamstring tightening, hence the Endo at RB sub.
Gomez hadn't trained at all. He then saw Endo making a mess of things and thought it was worth risking Gomez.
He probably should have tried Jones at RB and Endo midfield initially, but there was some context the TV and commentary didn't pick up.
We still need to be better with the ball in our attacking third. Or be ready to hunt the ball back if we lose it.The main midfield three will be gravy, mac and Wirtz.
Agree that he will be brilliant, but, in hindsight, it was probably a little early to make him my Fantasy League captain.Wirtz will be one of the players of the season. I've no doubt at all. Some acclimatisation and the odd poor game to be expected.
I didn't think he was 'poor' yesterday. He had his moments and was full of energy, just that he also had a handful of inaccurate passes / situations where I expected much better.
On balance if his name wasn't Wirtz, and having that price tag, I doubt there would be much concern.
