Kerkez was ok. Frimpong was totally underutilized. Szobo in particular would not play that ball.

That is correct. Apart from you writing that "we change our tactics completely." That is kinda not correct. "We change our tactics completely" implies that happens as a result of a decision. But Slot and "we" do not decide that. What happens is that our weaknesses start surfacing including our weaknesses having to do with those I wrote about above.Evidence is we play our worst football and are most vulnerable after we have a lead. We change our tactics completely, stop pressing, and sit back and let the other team play around our midfield until they find a pass (like today) or get a set piece in a dangerous area and score.
I did.. did you?Fucking drivel. What about Kerkez and Frimpong? Did you even watch the match?
Yes, I watched.I did.. did you?
Both were merely ok.. not great.. ok.
Against Burnley you need to be better than ok.
Had we scored the pen we wouldn’t have got the Wirtz goal. We would have done the same thing in that we let them come at us. And score.
If you are happy with that performance against Burnley.. we had 30 shots, but about 25 were pot shots from distance.Yes, I watched.
Horrible result however much of the play was better than I've seen us produce for a while. I'd rate the full backs as a bit better than "ok" and certainly of a standard not requiring them to "hang their fucking heads".
That's hysterical nonsense.
Didn't say I was happy. If you are happy with that performance against Burnley.. we had 30 shots, but about 25 were pot shots from distance.
Agree on Frim not be used enough. When he was, he was consistently dangerous.Kerkez was ok. Frimpong was totally underutilized. Szobo in particular would not play that ball.
I actually do think our tactics change when we have lead. I think Slot must tell them to slow it down and play more safe. Our players have spent most of their careers doing the opposite of that, so I think it must be the coaching. That is correct. Apart from you writing that "we change our tactics completely." What probably happens is that once we have a lead the players relax and stop fighting as vigorously as at the start of matches. They also lose/drop focus. And then problems and problem areas surface. And this Liverpool team has many problem areas both up front and at the back. VVD has been problematic this season. And so has Konate. And so have our left backs. And then we have new strikers. Are not good at set pieces. Have injury problems and don't have many players to bring on. ..
It happens too consistently and regularly and across the board when we take the lead to be anything other than the plan. Watching us gallop back in fear and form a flimsy low block whenever fucking Burnley crossed the halfway line is the absolute antithesis of what this club used to be.I actually do think our tactics change when we have lead. I think Slot must tell them to slow it down and play more safe. Our players have spent most of their careers doing the opposite of that, so I think it must be the coaching.
Get Salah back in the team ASAP.
