It's an inevitability. He wants to play every minute of every game and he can't do it. It's as simple as that.
You have been saying is Mo is done for like the last 3 yrs, his pace maybe done but I'm of the opinion he can still offer more than what we have seen for the last 3 months for us under a fresh manager. Point is, is it best not to wait till end of summer and leave then? It's not like apart from Ekitke, any of other front options are tearing it up. Have you seen our other options this season?

Ok, hes been a great player for us, club legend but we have been better with him on the bench ... that is saying much because we're still shit but we cannot accommodate him in the 4 3 3 set up slot prefers ... the club comes first and if we get 50+ from Saudi that we can invest in a cb, it may save us if our manager also throws konate and gakpo under the same bus.

I agree with this and it would’ve completely changed our transfer strategy.
I don't know if it would have changed our strategy though, I think the idea was to get in Isak and Wirtz to migrate away to a new system as there was never going to be a like for like replacement for Salah as we found out for Mane.

Once we got Ekitike we would’ve looked at someone more right sided than Isak. Maybe not gone for Frimpong but a proper right back and a proper RW.
Maybe. We will see the figures but we have given him a massive sign on fee, agent fees and also about an extra 12 to 15 mill in wages over the time since he signed up.
Yes, that would have been ideal and would have gone for someone like the lad from Bournmouth but we went for Isak with I would imagine future migration in mind to a new system. Cheaper and less risky but here we are.

Konate just looks like a nervous wreck every game. Gomez must be either really really shit in training or we know he'll self destruct after 90mins at the back because otherwise it makes no real sense not to change things up.
I'm disappointed with VVD as well. He's been given so much praise over the years for his leadership qualities at the back and ability to improve the players around him yet we're seeing very little evidence of that. Yes, he's older etc but with the fat contract comes responsibility and expectations.
As for Slot, same 'ol, same 'ol really. Unconvincing set up and poor in-game mananagement (particularly when we went 2-0 up and the subs). I don't relate to this team in any way and watching us is a chore.
I was glad it was Ekitike and Szobo that scored. I'd hate to see one of the other guys (hello Gakpo) stat pad to deflect from the other issues surrounding their overall contribution.

yea it’s a huge maybe, also his agent is a massive cunt and so are saudi clubs to get a fee out of so any profit is going to be an ordeal
I think that’s fair if that’s true but I haven’t seen any quotes to that effect.
It should have started with him being subbed in games. It looks odd that he’s gone from untouchable to not starting 3 games and not even getting 5 mins today in the middle of a busy period.
