I don't buy this. Maybe we need more presence, but many of those players have managed ok before. Watch the 3rd goal, it's not aerial ability, it's fucking shit organisation and no one on the back post, again. It's on this shower of shite coaching.
You're too keen to blame shite coaching. Between the boxes, there's enough issues there to blame him, but with set pieces it's also very much a player thing. Maybe the one thing I can critique him for on set pieces is constantly putting Gravenberch at the back post, who keeps on failing us.
But like I said, it's also a player issue. Not only are they cowards in the air, they appear to be very slow to second balls when it drops.
Please watch the goal again. Gravy literally has his eyes closed. Konate jumps under the ball and ducks out of the header. Gomez runs under it. We literally have 4 men at the back post against 2.

We conceded against Palace because of shite set piece defending by Gravy and it drops to Sarr who bangs home. Their second goal, Rio loses an aerial battle against Hughes, then Jones loses an aerial battle against Guehi, Nketiah bangs home. Shite aerial defending where Szobo just runs out and allows Maguire to easily head home, against United. Konate mistiming his jump in the air against City/Haaland. Ekitike losing an aerial battle against Brentford for their first goal. Slow defending from Gakpo/Szobo on the second ball against Forest for their first goal. Not mention goals conceded against Newcastle (both goals down to losing aerial battles).
So yeah, we have a massive aerial weakness, and are also very slow to second balls. It's a recipe for disaster in the premier league with the amount of set pieces there are.
