If he brings Mo back in the XI, sack the cunt on the spot.

If he brings Mo back in the XI and also has the cheek to drop Gomez, shoot the cunt on the spot.
 
Gomez deserves to start again. Konate was better today, he'll start. I think I'd take Robbo to start at home. Isak and Wirtz were rested - they'll both start. Macca was far more feisty in midfield today and battled well - we'll need that vs Sunderland.
Sadly because he didn't play a minute today Mo. will start - I wouldn't start him, without him we looked far more like an 11 man team today.

Nah I dunno. We were a much more cohesive unit today as can’t see why he’d wanna ruin that.
If he does start Mo, then he’s gonna have to play a different kinda role to the one he has been. The defensive solidity down the right was so nice to see. Whoever plays RW needs to put a shift in defensively

You could always view it such that he’s had a rest for a while and playing 90 shows he can play more often and for longer. Maybe he starts and gets subbed off if he tires? Dunno
 
Frimpong is due back for Saturday with Conor the week after. Joe should be fine

That’s definitely an option and key just be wary of his ability to get injured easily previously.

I would also like to see him be first choice until we get our confidence back but playing 90 mins in the first team can take getting used to after so long on the sideline.

I can see Curtis starting.
 
I don’t have a problem with Salah starting, but in that case Gakpo needs to sit down. We played with 3 rather than 4 attacking players against West Ham and lo and behold, the balance of the team improved. If Slot goes back to something like Gakpo-Isak-Salah-Wirtz then we’ll get overrun again.

I would go like this in the front 6:

No way Gomez starts again, which is a shame as we looked different having our main outlet down the right being willing to swing the ball in on his right foot, or do cut backs etc. However if he gets himself fit that will be useful for the options.

Could argue Isak might also not be ready for 2 games to soon too.

I'd have same team as yesterday but possibly only with Ramsay at RB, or Jones. The midfield (kinda) diamond worked for much of the game.

If Gakpo didn't get that goal at the end i'd probably want Ekitike to get in there too.

Lots of decisions for Arne.

Gomez, Wirtz and Isak won’t get consecutive starts. Salah won’t get consecutive bench duties.
 
Wirtz will absolutely start. Taken off after 75 mins when he wasn't even blowing. I think he was being protected for this game.

I can see Gomez and Isak (68 mins) starting again too. If they are going to be rested then Leeds (A) on Sat. is more likely. IMO.
