EPL Week 1 Other Games

Sadly Chelsea have, with their scattergun transfer approach, hit the jackpot on Estevao. That kid will be a baller.

Seriously, wtf is this? Are Brentford targeting relegation?

That Utd team doesnt look like it has much hope of getting a point against Arsenal. Can we at least hope for a draw and multiple sending offs?

Keith Andrews looks like a neutral fan who went for a run in the park, somehow wandered into the stadium and ended up on the sidelines of a football game.

That's how good Guehi is.
No. I happen to disagree. He's a bitch. Doesn't know what to do. Same with Isak. It is not good for the club to make those sorts of transfers. Players who want to transfer THEY KNOW they want to transfer. So that there's no extended shit. Extended shit is never good in the long run.

The rule changed. So all of time is irreverent now.

If the keeper picks up a back pass should it stand now too?
Oh bore off. What happened today wasn't a foul, it was a poorly written rule being retrospectively applied by VAR as if it was a tax code. The ref was spot on in giving the goal, the problem with VAR is it's more obsessed with the letter of the law than looking at the situation and judging it. Rules in football have always been about interpretation, only a few things are absolutes (offside, back passes, professional fouls etc), and whilst I'm a supporter of VAR, this is its biggest issue, it's changing the way football is refereed.

If you genuinely looked at that goal today and thought it should be disallowed, not because someone interfered with the wall, but because they were 30cm away from the wall instead of one metre, then I can't argue with you, I can only pity you.

I think you're wrong about this. The rule would be impossible to police without some objective standard. It would be way too chaotic if the ref just had to use his judgement to decide if the wall is interfered with.
