EPL Week 18 other games December 26th-28th

I don’t want that counter attacking style with a fat John McGinn on the wing at Anfield.
Emery is a good manager but this won’t be sustainable. It’s just a matter of time before they see some poor results given they win most games with less xG than their opponents, and this title challenge will fade away.
Been veeery lucky several times.

Hope they pick points off Arsenal though.

If any team wins 11 on the bounce they'll have been very lucky a few times. But Villa didn't just counter attack after that 3 man change yesterday - they battered Chelsea from pillar to post. Emery adapts to the opposition and Home/Away, as any manager would/should do.

We are yet to lose a game that we have led - that new low awaits us. In fact I think Leeds is the only match in which we led and failed to get all 3 points.

One of the football podcasts I listen to went through all their games. They have 1-2 convincing wins. The rest could have gone either way and most of them have seen the opposition create more chances. They’ve also scored more goals outside the box then anyone else.

Regarding battering Chelsea:

As said Emery is a good manager. The 11 game run hasn’t all of a sudden turned him into a tactical genius. Just a few months ago they were booed of the pitch at home and they wanted him sacked.

Nearly all Chelsea's XG came in the first half almost all Villas in the 2nd. However what the XG doesn't show is the number of attacks Villa had that came to nothing. Watch the BBC highlights.

re. Your last paragraph. Sounds like us in reverse then!
