Gakpo and Isak clearly in each others way. Gakpo wants to cut inside, Isak wants to drift left and cut inside.

If we can keep our possession, I'd consider subbing Gakpo for Rio (not Chiesa because he's more likely to cut inside too).

The Gakpo-Isak chemistry is nil. We know what Cody can do.

I have no idea what Isak can do for us. I haven't once seen him make a run that had me pointing at the screen saying "get him the ball".
 
If West Ham weren't so crap, I'd be very impressed with that first half.

I want to see us continue to maintain control of this game and don't lose our heads for 5mins and find ourselves 2-0 down, chasing. Crucial that we don't concede a shitty set piece. Ref has given them some really soft ones already.

I think Macca and Isak have been our weak links. Chiesa for Macca would allow Szobo to come inside. Ekitike for Isak would be a big improvement. Rio for Gakpo at 70 min.
 
There again, Cody and Isak making the same run. But Isak isn't rapid enough and should have cut across the defender instead of going behind.

The team defensively looks very solid. Unsure if that's because of West Ham or not.
Nice to have JoeGo back. Always like him.
Konate wastes too much time on the ball. Would rather he's dropped once a Rb is healthy.
Macca looks better today but he still seems slower than usual.
The interplay between Gravy and Wirtz is great.
Clearly there's unfamiliarity between Cody & Isak, but they're playing ok.
Really should be 1/2-0 to us but a clean sheet is a nice improvement on the last 2 games.
Let's win this 1-0, and try to gain momentum.
I hope Slot sticks with the current team a bit longer.
